Players can pull off some of the most insane stunts, have death-defying matches, and much more. However, WWE 2K24 adds a new feature that allows players’ characters to pull down their straps.

While the feature does not seem like a big deal, it adds value to the game, especially for those players who want to eliminate their suspension of disbelief. Keeping this in mind, this guide will cover everything there is to know about removing straps in WWE 2K24, along with other useful information.

Steps for Pulling Down Straps in WWE 2K24

First and foremost, you can only pull down straps for wrestlers with the appropriate wardrobe, such as The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Big E, Chad Gable, and Bron Breakker. If you are playing with such a wrestler, here is what you need to do to pull down their straps across the different platforms:

Hold R2 and press Down on the D-Pad on a PlayStation controller.
Hold RT and press Down on the D-Pad on an Xbox controller.
Hold the Spacebar and press 4 on a Keyboard.

You can’t pull down a wrestler’s straps when they are on a turnbuckle or climbing a cell.

This feature was last seen in WWEK 2K19, after which it wasn't seen until this latest installment in the franchise. Additionally, this feature is not available for custom superstars, but this could be changed in a later update.

Why Remove Straps in WWE 2K24?

Apart from looking cool and taunting your opponent(s) in an online match, there is no other purpose for this feature. You could pull down your wrestler’s straps right before executing a finisher or after winning a match against your opponent(s) online to add insult to injury, but that is the extent of this feature. However, when you remove your wrestler’s straps, they are vulnerable to attacks, which makes sense since it comes off as a taunt, after all.

Unfortunately, many users have reported that the feature is a hit or miss, and they can’t pull down the straps despite pressing the right buttons. There is no workaround for this bug, and it is expected to be fixed with the release of the next patch.
