Destiny: Rising is Bungie's sci-fi shooter series' first foray onto mobile devices, and actually comes from an entirely new developer. That doesn't mean that this doesn't feel like your typical Destiny experience, however. The shooter action still feels as good as ever and it's set in the same world as the mainline titles, just in an alternate universe. One of the big changes, however, comes in the fact that Destiny: Rising is actually a gacha game, and so players will need to be connected to a server whenever they're playing. As such, some players may be wondering how they can check the game's server status if they're ever having trouble connecting.
All Go! Ghost Go! Rewards in Destiny Rising
As players wait for Destiny: Rising to release, you can play a little scrolling game called Go! Ghost, Go! To get some extra in-game rewards.
How to Check the Destiny Rising Server Status
A Convenient List of Places to Check
Unlike Destiny 2, Destiny: Rising doesn't have an official server status page that players can visit whenever they're having connection issues to see where the problem lies. Instead, all communications around the game's server status are primarily shared via the official Destiny: Rising X account, as well as the Discord server for the game. I've listed both of these, alongside some of the other social channels for the game, where the developers are providing updates about the game below.
When to Expect Destiny Rising Server Downtime
At the time of writing, developer NetEase shared that there are three upcoming game content releases between now and the end of the year. These are due to arrive at some point in September, October, and November, respectively, and should add new characters for players to try and pull.
Unfortunately, no specific time or date has been shared. However, when NetEase does give a time and date, you can expect the servers to go offline a couple of hours before so that the game content and other elements of the update can be rolled out onto them.
Typically, all communication around scheduled server maintenance is shared on X accounts when it comes to online games, so I wouldn't expect things to be any different here either. Especially with the game not having an official server status website that players can visit.
Not all server downtime is planned. Sometimes servers can get overwhelmed by an influx of players trying to log in and play at the same time. Other times, things can just go wrong, and servers need fixes applied before they can be brought back online. In both of these cases, your best bet is to visit the X account and see if the developers have acknowledged the connection issues.
