Steps for Crafting Legendary Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077

It is worth noting the crafting system is not like it was during the game’s launch, and the overall system has been improved. However, the biggest tweak was the removal of loot rarity. Previously, they were categorized as:

Common
Uncommon
Rare
Epic
Legendary

After the 2.0 update, loot rarity was replaced with Tiers, starting with the weakest weapons categorized as Tier 1, while the most powerful weapons are categorized as Tier 5. Fortunately, the color scheme remains the same, and they are as follows:

Tier 1 – White
Tier 2 – Green
Tier 3 – Blue
Tier 4 – Purple
Tier 5 – Orange

Before the 2.0 update, players had to increase their Technical Ability to be able to craft anything, meaning they would need a 20 Technical Ability rating to be able to craft legendary weapons. Since this system was frustrating, CD Projekt Red removed it for good.

If you are looking for components to craft legendary weapons, you can find them throughout Night City.

Just like weapons, components are also categorized by Tiers.

Before the update, you would have to gather all sorts of items to craft legendary weapons, but now you need to collect the required components to do so.

Since legendary weapons require Tier 5 components, the game will hand them out sparingly when your character is just starting out. As you progress and gain XP, you will get more Tier 5 components, thus making it easier for you to craft legendary weapons.
