You can pull off all sorts of crazy trick shots in Rematch, but a bladeshot is one of the most useful maneuvers of them all. While the bladeshot isn't explicitly mentioned in Rematch's controls, you can still perform one by stringing together a few basic actions before attempting to score a goal.
Rematch has a bunch of hidden tricks like this that can only be discovered by practicing. A bladeshot is on the easier end of the spectrum for Rematch tricks, but you can pull off some fancy footwork in other areas to outmaneuver your opponents and get into scoring position more often. If you want to nail some trick shots and create some highlights, follow these steps to perform a bladeshot in Rematch.
Should You Play Rematch With a Keyboard or Controller?
Rematch requires a lot of fast, precise inputs, so many players are torn between using a controller or a keyboard for their matches.
How to Perform a Bladeshot in Rematch
Pulling off a bladeshot in Rematch is incredibly simple. All you have to do is push the ball a short distance forward using the A/X button on Xbox/PlayStation. Then, perform a short lob by pressing RB/X/A or R1/Square/X. Sprint with extra effort to catch up to the ball, then press the shoot button to perform a bladeshot.
Basically, all you have to do is lob the ball a short distance and then shoot normally. Rematch will take care of the rest for you as long as you're in the right position. Bladeshots are best for angled shots diagonal to the goal, so you should be able to pull them off pretty often if you're in scoring position.
To practice your bladeshot technique, head to the main menu of Rematch and press B/Circle on your controller to back out of the menu and access the practice field. Here, you can freely mess around with the controls until you get a feel for how bladeshots work. Remember, the timing is tight, so you have to input every command back to back, almost like it's a fighting game.
Once you've practiced for a few minutes, try out the bladeshot in your next Rematch game. It catches a bunch of players off guard, and it's also a great way to confuse goalkeepers, since it initially looks like you're not going to shoot the ball after you lob it from their point of view.
