How To Get Holtzman Actuator In Dune: Awakening
Holtzman Actuators can be obtained in three different ways: The first is to loot them from the many material cachès present in PoIs like Ship Wreckages, Imperial Research facilities, and Bandit camps. The second is to obtain them by recycling certain vehicle parts and tools. And the third one is to farm them by finding the spawn spots for Fallen Ornithopters.
These can appear in a wide array of locations, and using the binoculars, players can spot them easily, since they only need to follow the smoke column they emit. Ornithopter wreckage locations can be found at the following spots:
- The Hammer (on the top next to the Hidden Schematic Caché).
- The Table of God (top side of the mountain).
- Between Wreck of the Alcyon and Kaleff's Stand.
- On top of Mirzabah's Head mountain.
- Northeast of the Wreck of the Pallas (PvP zone).
- Near Northwest Ironworks, on the eastern side of the rocky formation.
How To Get Iron Ore In Dune Awakening

To farm the Holtzman Actuators in the Fallen Ornithopters, players need to scan it with their Cutterays, then cut through the indicated line (structural weakness) to separate each of the parts. First the wings, then the hinges, and lastly, the hull and the cabin. Each farmed ornithopter yields between 100 to 230 Holtzman Actuators, so be sure to carry extra Inventory modules in the sandbike.
Players need a Tier 2 Cutteray (Iron tier) to be able to salvage a fallen Ornithopter. Craft one if you are going to farm Holtzman Actuators.
Since Holtzman Actuator is actually a component for the Scout Ornithopter Thruster, and it requires several of them to be crafted, it makes sense that players are scavenging for parts from broken vehicles. However, they are also useful for crafting the higher-tier personal shields and suspension belts. Players should keep a steady supply of this item to craft all the items in the end-game.
