LEGO Fortnite is a fun, action-packed game where survival and creativity go hand in hand. As such, finding the right resources to craft tools and weapons is crucial. One essential raw material in the game is Iron, which is required for upgrading tools to the Epic tier.
As players progress further, having a good stock of iron can be helpful to upgrade their village. Unfortunately, iron is harder to find, compared to other resources in LEGO Fortnite. It’s not available right off the bat and players will have to struggle to get their hands on this important metal. Where to Find Iron
Iron can be found deep inside ice caves in the Frostlands. These caves are hidden somewhere between the snow-covered mountains. To deal with the bone-chilling temperatures, players can bring along Spicy Burgers and equip the Inner Fire Charm.
When exploring snow caves, players should bring Torches with them as they’re a good source of both light and heat.
Once they’re inside an ice cave, players should keep exploring it till they come across shiny Iron clusters on the walls. It’s easily noticeable as the ore has a silver metallic glow and a slight orange tint that contrasts with the cave’s icy blue interior. Players can mine Iron using an Epic Pickaxe.
An Epic Pickaxe can be crafted on a Crafting Bench that has been upgraded to the Epic tier. To craft an Epic Pickaxe, players need five Frostpine Rods and eight Obsidian Slabs.
How to Craft Iron Bars
Right after players collect Iron, they’ll unlock the recipe to make Iron Bars. Crafting iron bars is quite simple if players have access to a Metal Smelter. A Metal Smelter is a crafting station that is built using 15 Brightcore, 35 Obsidian Slabs, and 3 Blast Cores.
To craft an Iron Bar, players need to interact with the Metal Smelter and provide 1 Iron and 2 Brightcores. Brightcore is another valuable resource that is found in the lava caves of the Dry Valley.
Iron Bars are used for crafting powerful weapons and tools in LEGO Fortnite. Examples include:
- Epic Shovel – requires 8 Iron bars
- Epic Longsword – requires 12 Iron bars
- Epic Knight Shield – requires 25 Iron bars
- Epic Recurve Crossbow – requires 3 Iron bars, 1 Drawstring, 8 Frostpine Rods
Epic tools and weapons can only be crafted on an Epic Crafting Bench.
