The Shifting Earths in Elden Ring Nightreign are massive world events that cover a quarter of the map. As the circle closes around these events on the second day, completing these becomes a necessity. Each Shifting Earth has a different power that is useful for the different bosses in the game.

Forsaken Hollows sees the addition of the Great Hollow, which is the first Shifting Earth that completely changes the whole map. This map is quite dangerous, as there are gaps all over which might cause players to fall to their death if they are not careful. This guide offers information on what players have to do to get the Favor of the Great Hollow and more about the power itself in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Are you having trouble completing Undertaker's Remembrance quest? Here's what players should do.

How to Get the Favor of The Great Hollow in Elden Ring Nightreign

After opening the game, players will be able to talk to the Iron Menial and then approach the Small Jar Merchant, who will point at the door. Interact with this door to start the fight with the Dreglord. It does not matter if you are successful in beating him or not because t here are no rewards for this encounter. Once the fight is over, you can talk to both DLC characters to unlock them, and this also activates the Great Hollow Shifting Earth Event.

It is important to note that even if the Great Hollow is active, it will only occur when a player loads a downloadable content target, like the Balancers or the Dreglord. Once you load into the map, you will find everything different, and it will take time for you to get used to the pathing and optimization in order to get level 15 at the end of Day 2.

When it comes to the power the Shifting Earth provides, players will have to explore a lot of the map to find blue crystals. These crystals can be resonated with, and this destroys them. Destroying one of them will cause the great crystal in the middle of the map to crack as well. Each expedition has multiple possible locations for these crystals to spawn in.

If you are playing on Solo, you will only need to break three crystals, while Duos and Trios require four.

After resonating with enough crystals, you will see the Great Crystal break completely, and you can now move towards its location, which is marked on the map. Two crystal pathways lead to the center of the broken crystal, where you can drop down and grab the Favor of the Great Hollow. This power boosts your Art gauge when you are out of Sacred Flasks. This will remain for the remainder of the expedition. However, the second part of the power involves breaking the crystal curse.

The crystal curse occurs in the northwest and southeast parts of the map, where you can find two towers and buildings around them. These towers have multiple floors with a powerful boss on each one of them. If you manage to defeat all of them, you will get another power which increases the Murk you gain from this expedition, and also faster auto charging for Ultimate Art.

The above images include the locations of all the crystals. Not all of them spawn, so if you cannot see a crystal, then do not worry and go to the next location.
