How to Acquire Bayle's Tyranny in Elden Ring

Acquiring Bayle’s Tyranny is no easy task, as it requires you to defeat one of the tougher enemies in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The enemy in question is the optional boss, Bayle the Dread, a massive dragon who resides in the Jagged Peaks, near the Jagged Peaks Summit Site of Grace, to be exact.

So, reach this legendary boss and defeat him. Don’t forget to summon Igon for some iconic voice lines, though this is not necessary to acquire the item. After defeating Bayle the Dread, you will receive the Heart of Bayle key item.

Next, head to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion Site of Grace and trade the Heart of Bayle. Be sure to select the "Communion with Bayle" option. You will then have to choose between Bayle's Flame Lightning or Bayle's Tyranny. You can only acquire one of these items, so select Bayle's Tyranny if that’s what you want. The non-selected option can be acquired by repeating the process in New Game Plus.

Bayle’s Tyranny summons a projection of Bayle's head that creates a loud roar, followed by a powerful heatwave burst that damages nearby enemies.
