Mega Chimecho is one of the new Mega Evolutions added with Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. Here's how to get the Chimechite Mega Stone.

Crabominite Location

Trainers can find the Crabominite, the Mega Stone needed to Mega Evolve Crabominable, by completing a Side Mission located inside a 2-Star Hyperspace distortion that appears just north of Wild Zone 17 in Lumiose City after Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 1 is completed.

On the map screen, this Hyperspace distortion appears with a yellow border with a question mark inside it. This is a static encounter, which means it will not be rerolled like regular Hyperspace Wild Zones when the time of day changes.

Enter the zone, and you will be confronted by an NPC named Boris, who will start Side Mission 141: Rogue Mega Showdown.

Bring a level 100 Pokemon as your main battler and use at least a +20-30 level Donut when entering this zone. The Mega Crabominable are level 110-120 and are hyper-aggressive.

How to Defeat Mega Crabominable

To get Crabominite, players will have to battle and defeat the two Mega Crabominable fighting each other on the ice. Mega Crabominable are Fighting/Ice-type Pokemon and have a 2x weakness to Fire, Fighting, Flying, Psychic, Steel, and Fairy-type Pokemon.

Both Crabominable know the exact same four moves:

  • Earthquake
  • Dynamic Punch
  • Rock Smash
  • Ice Punch

Bulky Fairy-type Pokemon will have the easiest time against these Pokemon, but Psychic and Fighting-types are good choices as well. Avoid using Fire or Flying-type Pokemon as they are weak against some of the moves these two possess, making them risky choices.

Where to Find Crabominable in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Unlike the Mega Pokemon encountered during the Hyperspace Survey main missions, you will not be able to catch the Mega Crabominable during this side mission in Legends Z-A. To use the Crabominite, you will need to obtain a Crabominable of your own. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Catch and evolve a Crabrawler into a Crabominable: Crabrawler can be found in 1-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones (Fighting-type). Use an Ice Stone on a Crabrawler to have it evolve into a Crabominable.
  2. Catch a Crabominable directly: Crabominable can be found in 4-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones (Fighting/Ice-type). 4-Star zones start appearing after Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 5 is completed (Rogue Mega Heatran).

After you’ve obtained a Crabominable, give it the Crabominite to hold, and it will be able to Mega Evolve in battles.
