Where To Find Radiant Shards In No Man's Sky
To find Radiant Shards in No Man's Sky, players need to travel to dissonant planets, which are Aggressive Sentinel Activity planets that were also affected by The Corruption. These worlds are characterized by their harsh weather and purplish color. Most importantly, they're filled to the brim with corrupted life forms that will attack the player on sight.
To mine Radiant Shards, players need to have at least the A-Grade Mod Advanced Mining Laser equipped on their Multitools. Remember that mods of the same type need to be grouped together to be considered active.

Finding a Radiant Shard cumulus will not be easy. They can be spotted from afar thanks to their pinkish glowing light, and the energy that surrounds them. Like Storm Crystals, these formations are more frequently found on planets with harsh weather, but the Sentinels on said planet need to be affected by the Corruption.
To extract Radiant Shards, players will have to dig until they break the formations with their lasers. Doing so will alert every nearby Sentinel or Corrupted Life Force, which will then make a message pop up on the screen: "The Swarm Is Searching." This means the corrupted Sentinel forces are sending scouts to the area where the players extracted the Radiant Shards.
Players can fight these enemies off to earn Atlantideum and other important resources. Alternatively, they can simply dodge them by running and relocating, or using their Cloaking Devices. Keep in mind that every crystal formation will only yield 1 Radiant Shard, just like other precious resources like Gravitino Balls (which also happens to alert Sentinels when players extract it).
How To Use Radiant Shards In No Man's Sky
Radiant Shards can be used to craft the following recipes in No Man's Sky:
- Resonance Amplifier: crafted using Di-hydrogen x160, Gravitino Ball x3, and Radiant Shard x1 in the Advanced Refinery.
- Scan Harmoniser: crafted using Radiant Shard x1, Microprocessor x1, and Runaway Mould x100 in the Advanced Refinery.
- Nanite Cumulus: crafted by refining Radiant Shards (each Radiant Shard is equal to 50 Nanites).
Getting lots of Radiant Shards can be useful for farming Nanites, as each Shard can be refined into 50 Nanites. This will be helpful for players trying to complete the Milestone titled Reality Foam, which can be found in Phase 5 of The Cursed Expedition.
