There are plenty of handy tools in 99 Nights in the Forest that make your run smoother and more successful. Some, like axes and rods, help you gather raw materials and food ingredients, while others, such as sacks, let you store items for crafting or cooking later on.
The hammer, which at first looks like a typical building tool, actually has a different purpose in this Roblox experience. Instead of creating objects, it’s mainly used to move things around your base. This tool is essential if you want to give your base a neat finish; you can rearrange tents, beds, or traps that would otherwise be stuck in place. When setting up defensive walls with logs, the hammer also helps you reposition any misplaced ones to cover gaps.
How to Get the Hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest
There are two ways players can get a hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest: either by crafting it at the Tool Workshop or by picking the Blacksmith or Decorator class.
If you choose either of these classes, you’ll start with a free hammer in your inventory. The catch is that both are locked behind an in-game currency wall. The Blacksmith costs 300 Diamonds to unlock, while the Decorator costs 40 Diamonds. If you don’t want to spend Diamonds or prefer starting with another class, you’ll need to forge the hammer yourself.
To make a hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest, you’ll need to locate the Tool Workshop inside the forest. At the beginning, it won’t appear marked on your map, but you can find it on the bottom-right side. Look for a large structure with an entrance covered by tree sticks and an anvil symbol above it. Once you reach it, use your axe to break through the wooden barrier.
Be ready, though, enemies will rush out from inside, so have traps and weapons prepared to handle them.
After clearing the area, collect the three anvil pieces (base, front, and back) scattered around the building and attach them to the blueprint at the center. Then, go to the side crafting table, select the hammer recipe, and place 5 Logs and 5 Scrap onto the anvil. Wait a short moment, and the hammer will be ready.
For those who don’t know, logs can be obtained by chopping down any tree with an axe, while scrap can be found in abandoned areas like houses, clinics, or chests, always in the form of metal pieces such as microwaves, bolts, or washing machines.
How to Use the Hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest
Once you have the hammer, you can keep it until the end of the round. It doesn’t have limited charges or disappear after use, so players can freely rely on it throughout their time in the game.
To use the hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest, equip it from your backpack slots, then click on the item you want to move. The item will be picked up in your inventory, and you can put it anywhere you want. If the furniture or logs aren't where you like them, just grab the hammer again to set them properly.
