Spider-Man: Miles Morales may not be a full-fledged AAA game, but it surely comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a major release, including the inclusion of a Photo Mode. The spin-off may not have offered a brand-new map, but the Christmas-themed New York is still a sight to behold.

Many players will love to capture some pictures of their Spider-Man wearing wacky costumes on the snow-covered rooftops of skyscrapers. Thankfully, you can do just that. However, the game doesn’t make it clear how. The main way to open the Photo Mode isn’t as intuitive as you might imagine. The guide below will solve that issue for you.

Photo Mode in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

You can access the Photo Mode in Spider-Man: Miles Morales the moment the first cutscene begins. All you have to do is pause the game and select the Photo Mode option. Of course, you can’t move the camera around in a cutscene, but you can still play with filters, stickers, frames, and more.

The real fun lies in using the Photo Mode during gameplay. However, opening up the main menu and selecting the Photo Mode option seems to be very time-consuming and might discourage many players from using this feature. Thankfully, the game has a feature that allows you to quickly access Photo Mode. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Pause the game.
  2. Head to the Settings tab.
  3. Click on either Shortcut 1 or 2.
  4. Select Photo Mode as a Shortcut (it should be the first one on the list).

Why Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Miles Morales Suit Controversy Likely Won't Matter in SM3

As controversial as the Evolved suit is, the “Miles Morales original” is unlikely to be very problematic within Marvel's Spider-Man 3.

That's it! Once you're in-game, press the designated button for the chosen shortcut, and the Photo Mode will instantly come up. The default button for Shortcut 1 is the P key on the keyboard and D-Pad Left on the DualSense controller. The default button for Shortcut 2 is the G key on the keyboard and D-Pad Right on the DualSense controller.

Once you've made all the customizations you want in the Photo Mode, just press P again (R3 on DualShock 4/DualSense) to take a picture.

  2. Make sure you are in Camera Mode.
  3. Select the Camera Tab.
  4. Change Camera Type to Selfie.
  5. Head to the Selfie Tab (the fifth tab) and customize your selfie.
  6. Take a picture.
