As Sam expands the Chiral Network in Death Stranding 2 and completes his job in Mexico, Australia becomes the next region that must be connected via the Drawbridge. Here, players will need to deliver cargo to the Government's Base as part of the ninth order. After avoiding the BTs and completing this mission, players will gain access to the Spare Ammo Container.
Death Stranding 2: How to Capture a BT
Sam can capture a BT in Death Stranding 2 for the BT's Best Friend Trophy, proving he ain't afraid of no ghosts!
Despite having a name that sounds simple, this can be a confusing item for several reasons. This guide explains how players can use the Ammo Pouch in Death Stranding 2.
How to Use the Ammo Pouch in Death Stranding 2
Once you have connected the Government's Base to the Chiral Network, you will unlock Backpack Attachments, one of which is the Spare Ammo Container. To equip this, head on over to your Backpack Customisation and select the Components tab. Here, you can find all the components that you will unlock as you complete more orders and increase your connection levels. In case you are out for cargo deliveries often and deal with the Bandits using your ranged weapons, it is best to have this on you at all times.
The Large Spare Ammo Container Lv. 1 and Lv. 2 unlock after you increase your connection level with the Government Base to 3 and 4, respectively. The first upgrade increases your ammo capacity, while the second reduces the space it takes up on the Backpack. To craft the Spare Ammo Container, you will need:
- 30 Metals
- 30 Resins
- 30 Chemicals.
The problem that players might face when using this Ammo Pouch is that they will not see a rise in the total ammo they are carrying for a weapon. This doesn't mean the Ammo Pouch is not doing its thing, but only that you will be able to use it once you have used up all of your ammo. Once all the ammo runs out, Sam will use the Ammo Pouch to reload more magazines, allowing you to stay in the fight for a longer period. The Spare Ammo Container only gives one magazine, so it is best to upgrade to the higher version as soon as possible.
Players who want to refill the ammunition can do so by travelling back to a Private Room inside a Safe House or aboard the DHV Magellan.
