Beyond the high-intensity shootouts in Ready or Not are tiny details that players can easily miss. These details can either point to bits of worldly lore and storytelling, while others are simply there for fun. The coffee machines in the LSPD Headquarters fall under the latter, and if you can get them to work, you'll get a nifty achievement/trophy out of them.
The Temperance achievement in Ready or Not asks players to drink some coffee, but that's not something one can do in the middle of a police raid or an active shooter scenariio. If you want to get this trophy for your account, here's what you need to do.

Ready or Not: Coffee Machine Easter Egg Guide
There are two coffee machines in the LSPD headquarters, and for the sake of this achivement/trophy, you can use either of them. The first coffee machine is in the briefing room, next to the counselor's desk, while the second one is right in front of the door leading into the 911 dispatch room.
If you're playing on Commander mode, you may need to progress your campaign before the 911 dispatch room becomes accessible.
However, the coffee machines can be a little uncooperative, and just pressing random buttons won't do you any favors either. To get coffee in Ready or Not, do the following:
- Approach a coffee machine.
- Select any coffee from the menu.
- Insert the indicated amount of coins into the coin slot.
- Place a cup into the machine's receiver.
- Press the button next to the receiver to dispense coffee.
- Wait for the cup to fill.
- Place a lid on the cup.
- Drink.
For the Temperance achievement, you need to do this process five times. You need to do this with coffee, not any of the other drinks.
In case the coffee machine jams while you're trying to get a drink, you'll need to kick it. A prompt should appear at the bottom of the coin slot when the machine starts acting up. This should happen very rarely, however.
Drinking coffee doesn't really do much for the player in or out of Ready or Not's missions. Although, drinking multiple cups in quick succession seems to increas the player's movement speed for a short duration while in the headquarters. This offers no practical benefits, nor does it carry over into a mission.
The working coffee machines are but one of the several easter eggs hidden in the LSPD headquarters. One other easter egg is a playable Pong arcade cabinet found in the basement, near the training area.
