Alysnes is one of the first Strikers players will get to use in Mecha BREAK, and if you're looking for somerthing that can fit in any fight, then this mech is the one to look out for. It is incredibly versatile with its kit and overall playstyle, and while it doesn't exactly specialize in anything, it's not bad on any front either.
However, the versatility of Alysnes is also one of its weaknesses — when you're piloting something that has an answer for everything, things are bound to get confusing. This guide covers how to use Alysnes in a fight, as well as some important things players should keep in mind when piloting this mech.
Why Mecha BREAK Doesn't Have Armored Core's Parts Customization
The Best War Games speaks with Amazing Seasun Games CEO Kris Kwok about the decision to give Mecha BREAK's Strikers specific roles.
Mecha BREAK: Alysnes Full Kit
Alysnes is a medium Striker that's good at both ranged and melee combat, and it's one of the mechs players get to choose from before buying new ones. It somewhat pales in comparison to other mechs that have actual combat specializations, but players who are skilled enough should be able to get a lot of mileage out of Alysnes and its well-rounded kit.
Speaking of well-rounded kits, here's a rundown of what this Striker has to offer.

Alysnes - Weapons and Abilities |

|---|---|
|
Weapon/Gadget |
Description |
|
Energy Autocannon |
Energy rifle that fires in bursts. Can be charged to fire a larger burst of plasma. Good for poking and finishing off enemies. |
|
Battle Halberd |
Melee weapon that bypasses Fluid Shields. Slow, but hard-hitting. |
|
Complex Shield |
Blocks all incoming frontal damage, but pauses energy recovery when deployed. Can be used to parry melee attacks. |
|
Gauss Cannons |
Twin cannons that deal heavy damage to Armor. Hits cause targets to stagger. |
|
Airdrop Kit |
Call in drones to resupply Alysnes' armor and weapons. Can only be used when armor is destroyed. |
Unlike the other Strikers in Mecha BREAK, Alysnes doesn't get destroyed after losing its entire HP bar for the first time — instead, it purges its armor, leaving players with a lighter mech that's faster but less durable. In this light fighter mode, Alysnes loses its Complex Shield and Battle Halberd, but gains an energy sword mounted on its left arm. Using Airdrop Kit while Alysnes' initial armor is destroyed will fully heal Alysnes and bring it back to its original state.

It's important to understand that while Alysnes can hold its own against most other mechs, it is not as powerful as dedicated ranged/melee Strikers like Aquila or Panther. Players will need to make good use of every part of Alysnes kit in order to be effective.
Melee or Ranged?
Many Alysnes players will recommend using only the Battle Halberd when fighting because of its high damage output. While this is true for the most part, players should not neglect the Energy Autocannon and Gauss Cannons. The former is good for chipping away at flying or retreating enemies, while the latter is great for interrupting melee attackers and finishing off weakened targets.
Alysnes is at its strongest while in melee range — thanks to its Complex Shield, players can bait other melee Strikers and parry when they attack. The Complex Shield's automatic riposte deals tons of damage, and it can take a lot of enemies by surprise. The shield parry has a generous 2-second window, so make the most of it.
Your goal when playing Alysnes is to contest objectives and disrupt the enemy. Getting kills should not be your priority.
Alysnes Tips
- Save your Airdrop Kit for when you're nearly dead. Using it will heal you back to full.
- Airdrop Kit also refills your Energy, so don't be afraid to go wild when your armor is broken.
- Keep an eye on your Energy levels. Dashing and using Battle Halberd's Boost Attack can leave you exhausted.
- Attacks from above using your Battle Halberd cannot be parried.
- Always stick with your team. Alysnes works best when acting as a pseudo-tank.
- Alynes is bad at fighting heavy mechs like Tricera and Stego. Go for other melee fighters or snipers when possible.
