Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a remake of SEGA's classic arcade game, but with a heavy modern facelift. Every aspect of the game has been touched up, from the artstyle to the combat and level design, making it more than just a nostalgia trip to the early days of arcade and Genesis gaming.
The game does have pre-order and deluxe edition bonuses for fans who are willing to pay a little extra for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. I f you're one of those who got either of those editions, here are all the things you can expect to receive, and how you can claim them.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance's Amulet System Explained
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance introduces the Amulet system, in which protagonist Joe Musashi can enhance his abilities by finding and equipping Amulets.
Where to Claim Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Deluxe Edition Bonuses
The deluxe edition of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance comes with the following bonuses:
- Ghost Outfit
- Medic Lite Amulet
- 2000 Gold
- SEGA Villains Stage DLC
- Digital Art Book and Soundtrack
Where to Get the Ghost Outfit and Medic Lite Amulet
Both of these pre-order bonuses will become available right after players reach the World Map, which comes directly after beating the very first stage of the game. Once you get to the World Map screen, do the following:
- Press your controller's shoulder buttons to change Joe's costume.
- Press the Select button on your controller to access the Gear menu.
You can change Joe Musashi's outfit in the World Map by pressing the L1/LB/R1/RB buttons. Doing so will cycle through all the skins you have unlocked, including the ones that you can find in-game. Meanwhile, by pressing the Select button, you'll find character-related menus. The Gear menu will let you equip different amulets, weapons, and your preferred ninja skills.
Players who pre-ordered the game can access the pre-order bonuses (Original Arcade Outfit and Fortune Hunter Amulet) by doing these same steps.
The 2000 Gold that comes with the deluxe edition will automatically be added to your in-game wallet. Gold is used to purchase new combat skills and upgrades from the Yokai Shop, and you'll naturally gain more Gold as you play the game.
