Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has officially been given a release date of November 6, 2025, with pre-orders now available on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch 2. Developed by Koei Tecmo in partnership with Nintendo, it was announced that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment would be coming to the Switch 2 in Winter 2025, but fans now have a precise launch date to look forward to.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment was first announced during the April 2 Nintendo Direct, immediately catching the attention of fans of the spin-off series’ signature Dynasty Warriors-style combat. According to the first story trailer, Age of Imprisonment tells the story of Zelda during the events of Tears of the Kingdom, revealing what the princess experienced during her trip to the past. While its presentation is quite similar to Age of Calamity, the previous game in the Hyrule Warriors series, Age of Imprisonment’s TotK-inspired combat and new story elements may just be enough to keep things fresh.
