Cindercloth Scraps are a common material in Hytale that players can use to craft gear. While the name of this material will give players a hint about where to look for it, its source is not explicitly revealed. This may leave some players confused about how to get Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale, and this guide is written with those players in mind.

Players who want just a small push in the right direction should consider looking for Cindercloth Scraps in areas that are hot.

Cindercloth Scraps Location in Hytale

Volcanic Layer

Players who are on the hunt for Cindercloth Scraps should head underground. More specifically, players should make their way to the volcanic layer, a red-tinted area with an abundance of Volcanic Cobble and free-flowing lava. While this layer is not extremely deep, players should expect to descend through a preliminary layer of Cobblestone before they reach it.

Players can reach the volcanic layer by equipping a pickaxe and simply digging into the ground. However, it is recommended that players start their ascent at natural chasms that are open to the surface, as those formations make it easier to leave the volcanic layer after obtaining the materials of interest.

Upon reaching the volcanic layer, players should be on the lookout for Incadescent Skelton Fighters, which have black bones and flaming swords, and Incandescent Skeleton Mages, which have black bones and red robes. Indeed, both of these mobs have a chance to drop Cindercloth Scraps when slain, and it should not take players long to amass a good amount of the material. Notably, while these enemies are not extremely difficult to defeat, it is definitely wise to have a shield on hand.

Incadescent Skeletons are not the only mobs players will encounter in the volcanic layer, as it is also home to Firesteel Golems, Magma Rhino Toads, and Goblins. These foes are not sources of Cindercloth Scraps, though players should still be prepared to do battle with them.

Cindercloth Scrap Use in Hytale

As previously noted, Cindercloth Scraps are used in the crafting of gear in Hytale. Specifically, they play an important role in making rare weapons and armor, and here is a list of those items:

  • Adamantite Sword
  • Adamantite Mace
  • Adamantite Battleaxe
  • Adamantite Daggers
  • Adamantite Shortbow
  • Adamantite Helm
  • Adamantite Cuirass
  • Adamantite Gauntlets
  • Adamantite Greaves
  • Adamantite Shield

Players cannot create these items until they have access to a Tier 3 Armorer's Workbench/Blacksmith's Anvil. Upgrading workbenches to Tier 3 is no small undertaking, and players who want to pursue the endeavor should be prepared to collect many materials.
