Hytale throws players into a fantastical world filled with all sorts of weird and wonderful, and whenever there's weird and wonder, there's usually plenty of fun and adventure to be had too. While you're exploring Orbis and the many other realms of the game, your gear will naturally degrade upon use, and eventually, they'll break to the point of uselessness. Thankfully, items that are broken or are close to breaking in Hytale can be repaired by using Repair Kits, but these aren't as easy to get as one might think.
How to Get Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale
This guide will help players find Cindercloth Scraps, a material in Hytale that plays an important role in the crafting of weapons and armor.
How to Make Repair Kits in Hytale
Repair Kits are craftable consumable items that can be made on Workbenches. To craft one, you'll need the following:
- 2 Linen Scraps
- 1 Iron Ingots
- 1 Light Leather
Getting any of these materials can be quite time-consuming, even if the processes are simple. Iron Ingots are made by smelting Iron Ore in Furnaces, and Light Leather is made by drying Light Hide in Tanneries.
The most time-consuming material to get out of these three is Linen Scraps. As far as we know, these cannot be crafted, and to get them, you need to find and beat humanoid enemies like Skeletons and Trorks. You can find them in camps scattered all over the map, and you can find them somewhat easily by opening your map and looking for camps there.
The good thing about these camps is the monsters in them respawn after some time. If you run out of Linen Scraps at any point, you can just raid the camps again.
Using Repair Kits
Go to a Workbench, then select the Tools tab. You'll find the Repair Kit icon in the first box. Now, to use a Repair Kit in Hytale, equip it in your hotbar, then press the Right Mouse Button. A window containing all the repairable items on your person will pop up. Select the item you want to repair to consume the Repair Kit.
There's just one thing, though: using a Repair Kit will reduce the maximum durability of an item by 10%. If you keep repairing the same item over and over again with Repair Kits, it will permanently break eventually. There's no known way around this at the moment (outside of using Hytale mods), but if this ever gets changed, we'll make sure to let you know.
In the meantime, you'll want to make multiple copies of gear you plan on using regularly, especially tools. Save your Repair Kits for gear that take longer to break like armor and weapons.
