Where to Find Copper Ore in Hytale

Copper Ore deposits can be found at a depth of 10-20 blocks in Hytale’s underground areas. In-game, it appears in the form of rust-colored pillars emerging from the bedrock, tinged with white discoloration near the tops.

Copper is the lowest tier of ore players will obtain in Hytale, which means players will be able to mine it using a Crude Pickaxe. A Crude Pickaxe can be crafted from the Inventory (TAB) crafting menu using Rubble (2), Plant Fiber (2), and Stick (2).

Although Copper can be found quite close to the surface, and you can easily dig straight down for 10 or 20 blocks to create a manually made Copper mine in your backyard, it is still better to rely on natural caves that already exist in the overworld in the early game. This is because the Crude Pickaxe is quite slow at breaking down Cobblestone and other blocks the earth is made of in Hytale, and it is less efficient than the alternative.

Keep a Repair Kit with you at all times to ensure you’re always able to restore durability at a crucial moment.

How to Make Copper Ingots in Hytale

Like Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots can be crafted by smelting Copper Ore in a Furnace in Hytale. The Furnace is a crafting station that can be made at a Tier 1 Workbench under the Crafting tab.

The Workbench is the very first crafting station you make in Hytale using Any Tree Trunk (2) and Any Stone (2).

How to Make a Furnace in Hytale

A Furnace can be crafted using the following materials:

Any Tree Trunk x6
Any Stone x6

After you’ve made a Furnace, place it in the overworld by equipping it on your hotbar and pressing right-click.

How to Craft Copper Ingots in Hytale

Once a Furnace is ready to go, place a fuel item like Wood, Charcoal, or Plant Fiber in the Fuel slot and place Copper Ore in the Input slot.
Click on “Turn On” to start the smelting process.
Each time the progress bar underneath the Copper Ore reaches its maximum, a single Copper Ingot will be placed in the Output slot.

Take the Ingots out of the Output and place them in your inventory to start crafting with them.
