Linen Scraps are an important type of resource in Hytale, and players are going to need plenty of them, especially in the early game. These are used for a variety of different crafting recipes, but more importantly, you'll need them to repair your equipment. Unlike the majority of other crafting ingredients in Hytale, Linen Scraps can't be crafted (so far, at least), and to get them, you'll need to gear up and go into the wild, so pack some food, grab your weapons, and get ready for a fight or two.
How to Get Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale
This guide will help players find Cindercloth Scraps, a material in Hytale that plays an important role in the crafting of weapons and armor.
Hytale Linen Scraps Location
Linen Scraps drop from humanoid monsters like Skeletons, Goblins, and Trorks. Creature-like humanoid monsters like Fen Stalkers don't drop Linen Scraps, though, so you'll really want to focus on fighting enemies that use actual equipment when fighting.
Humanoid monsters spawn randomly out in the wild, but if you want to find guaranteed monster spawns, open your map and look for camps or ruins. They should be fairly obvious and easy to spot, and if you come across one that contains any of the monsters mentioned above, you'll have yourself a great spot to get Linen Scraps.
The good thing about monster camps is that the mobs inside them respawn after a set amount of time. This is important because monsters may not always drop Linen Scraps when defeated. Trorks and Goblins seem to have a better chance of dropping Linen Scraps, while Skeletons drop Bone Fragments more often than not.
Where to Find Monster Camps
Monster camps are all over the world, and you can identify them based on how they look on the map:
- Skeleton ruins are surrounded by walls
- Trork camps are built on dirt, either on hills, flat ground, or mountains
- Goblin camps are inside mountains
You can also find Linen Scraps and a bunch of other kinds of loot inside chests. Any of the camps listed above usually have lootable chests, so make sure to search them thoroughly.
What are Linen Scraps For?
Linen Scraps are mainly for crafting early-game equipment like tools and weapons. More importantly, they're used to craft Repair Kits in Hytale. Repair Kits will keep your gear in good condition, but to craft them, you'll also need Light Leather and Iron Ingots. Both take a fair bit of effort to get, though.
Other recipes that require Linen Scraps are:
- Iron and Thorium Tools
- Iron and Thorium Weapons
- Iron and Thorium Armor
- Repair Kits
