Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's Gina Needs to Break One Franchise Trope
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle promises to give players a classic Indy adventure, but there's one element it should improve or move on from.
According to a new report from The Verge, it would seem that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is targeting a December 2024 release. It's rare for major AAA games to release in December, as most Fall and Holiday games tend to be out by the end of November, in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Such a window would mean Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would be out just in time for the holidays, though it would surely miss the eligibility cutoff for Geoff Keighley's Game Awards.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Rumored Release Month
- December 2024
The Verge's report also mentioned that Xbox may be internally considering releasing a PlayStation 5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle just a few months after the game's supposed Xbox debut in December. Over the past few weeks, rumors have been swirling online over Xbox allegedly planning to port first-party titles like Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves over to Nintendo and PlayStation consoles. Most recently, other major Xbox ecosystem exclusives like Starfield and the soon-to-be released Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 have been added to these rumors. With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle also seeming to join the fray, fans and the industry at large continue to await official word from Xbox, either confirming or denying these rumored plans.
As for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it wouldn't be out of the question for MachineGames to reveal the title's final release date at Xbox's much expected June showcase. In regard to the rampant rumors of Xbox internally debating putting several of its big first-party titles out on competing platforms, fans will have to wait for official word from Microsoft, which is said to be coming sometime in Spring.
