Listening to Echoes of the Past is a limited-time quest that Infinity Nikki players can find during the Bloom Festival event. The quest will, unfortunately, only be available for around 30 days, and completing it will give Infinity Nikki players a chance to earn various rewards.
Like most quests in the game, Listening to Echoes of the Past requires players to complete Chapter 2 of the main story before unlocking it. Additionally, completing this specific quest will also unlock further events this season. The quest is fairly easy to follow, but there are some instances where you can run into trouble. So, if you find yourself needing a hand, here's a detailed rundown on how to complete the Listening to Echoes of the Past quest in Infinity Nikki.

How To Start Listening To Echoes Of The Past In Infinity Nikki
Triggering the Listening to Echoes of the Past quest is pretty easy; all you need to do is head to the navigation tab and find the quest in your list. Click to track, and the icon will point you towards the White Jade ship in Florawish. Head to the ship and climb aboard to find Hiya. The story will then immediately start, and you’ll find out that the famous artist/musician, Du Yubai, has gone missing. Upon discovering this, Nikki will offer her assistance in locating her.
How To Complete Listening To Echoes Of The Past In Infinity Nikki
Where To Find Du Yubai
Finding Du Yubai is relatively easy, as the map will point out two possible places for her location in Breezy Meadow. You can just teleport to the Bug Catcher’s Cabin Warp Spire and head south on the map to where the icons are pointing. Once you reach the hill, keep to your left, as that’s where you’ll find Du Yubai. She’ll be surrounded by some Esselings, so defeat them and talk to her.
How To Get Pony Curls
This next step can be a little tricky, as it requires players to find some Pony Curls for Du Yubai to use. Pony Curls are typically more difficult to obtain because the ponies are skittish and prone to run away. The navigation will point you to a pony pasture in the vicinity, but as soon as you are at least 100m away, switch to your Animal Grooming Outfit and sneak up on the ponies.
You need to groom Noble Ponies to get Pony Curls. These ones are typically smaller and a darker shade of brown than the usual horses in the pasture.
How To Take A Photo Of Du Yubai
After giving her the pony curls to fix her strings, you’ll have to take a picture of Du Yubai. Use Momo’s Camera at the top left of the screen to do this. The only way you’ll know if it has been done correctly is if you see a gold frame appear around Du Yubai.
If you encounter a bug during this part of the quest and do not see the gold frame, simply log out of Infinity Nikki and log back in to try again.
Speak To Monaco And Take A Photo
After taking the photo with Du Yubai, head to the Mayor’s Office and meet Mayor Grace. After a brief conversation, she’ll direct you to three people, and one of them is Monaco. He’ll be right down the road from the office, so just follow the navigation to find him.
You’ll eventually need to take another photo of him and Du Yubai together, and both the NPCs need to have gold frames surrounding them in order for the picture to register. It also doesn’t matter if Nikki is in the picture or not, so just take the photo, show Monaco, and head to your next target.
Speak To Fournier And Help With The Proposal
Fournier is a chef at Ray and Wing's. You’ll need to head inside the area to interact with him and then offer your help with planning a proposal. There are only two tasks to complete here:
- Either find a Sunny Orchid, Rainy Orchid, or Florapom to give Jeka to prepare for the proposal. It doesn’t matter which flower you give her, as the responses are the same. If you don’t have either of these materials in your bag, you can head to Florawish to find Sunny Orchids and Rainy Orchids, whereas Florapoms can be found in Breezy Meadow.
- Once you give your chosen flower to Jeka, head back to the counter and interact with the ‘wait’ prompt. A short cutscene will take place, and afterward, you’ll once again have to take a photo and upload it once it has been taken.
- You need to make sure that Nikki, Du Yubai, and the other two guests are in the photo. All of their frames will light up, and once the photo has been taken, do not exit the photo screen. Look at the top right of the frame for an upload button.
- If you can’t find an upload button at the top of the frame, exit the game, log out, and log back in to retake the photo. The upload button should pop up then.
Infinity Nikki: How To Ride The Special Hot Air Balloon For New Horizons Day
Players must ride on the Special Hot Air Balloon ride to complete a task in the limited event of Infinity Nikki.
Find Elettra
Head over to Dream Warehouse Warp Spire and go inside to find the next person, Elettra. You’ll need to rescue her from under a pile of books. From here on out, just follow the navigation and story that will take you to the Dream Warehouse Rooftop, where you, Du Yubai, and Elettra will release some paper cranes.
Watch Du Yubai’s Performance
Now that everything has been completed, head back to the White Jade Ship and go inside to watch Du Yubai’s performance. You may need to change the timing to night to trigger the performance after you sit down.
Watch the final cutscene, speak to Du Yubai, and take another photo with her. You can pose however you want; just make sure that Nikki and Du Yubai are both visible in the photo. Upon doing so, Infinity Nikki players will receive:
