Infinity Nikki developer Papergames recently apologized to the community due to the rocky launch of Version 1.5 and has promised fixes for the most pressing problems soon. Version 1.5 was supposed to be a major milestone for Infinity Nikki, bringing new features to the popular game, but its release was riddled with bugs and controversial decisions, disappointing the fanbase.
Infinity Nikki was released in December 2024, and Papergames has been releasing consistent updates since then, at the rate of around one new update per month. Infinity Nikki had a pretty successful launch, earning over $850 million in sales during its first month, and the developers have been working hard to provide gamers with fresh content since then. However, the newest update turned out to be problematic, as gamers have reported multiple glitches involving the title's new features and some difficulties logging in after Version 1.5 was implemented.
Infinity Nikki: How to Unlock All Bubble Season Outfits (Update 1.5)
There are plenty of bubbly new looks to collect and show off in Infinity Nikki's Bubble Season, and here's how to unlock them all.
Now, Papergames has addressed the issue, apologizing to the players and acknowledging that the update “fell short of expectations.” According to the developer, some hotfixes have already been implemented, addressing major issues like one that prevented gamers from logging in. Also, three other fixes regarding Nikki’s appearance have been fixed. Unfortunately, it seems that Papergames still has a long way to go, as it lists almost a dozen bugs that will be ironed out in the next few days, including fixing resolution setting issues, problems with interaction smoothness and interruption, and frequent startup errors on the PS5, for example. The developer also promised to fix the performance issues with Infinity Nikki’s co-op multiplayer and the new DIY Workshop and Color Lookbook, which were implemented in Version 1.5.

It’s unfortunate to see Version 1.5 being released in such an unstable state, and many players are questioning why more rigorous beta testing wasn't done beforehand. Version 1.5 finally brought Infinity Nikki to Steam and the Epic Games Store, giving PC players access to the 24 achievements that were already available for the PlayStation version of the popular game.
Apart from releasing on more digital platforms, Version 1.5 also brought some new features to the table, such as co-op multiplayer and the Dye System to Infinity Nikki’s DIY Workshop. The new system, when working properly, allows players to customize the colors of their outfits, with six colors available from the start and a few more unlockable ones. After the upcoming patches, it’s likely that Version 1.5 will be a nice improvement for fans, as it increases the reach of the game and introduces several interesting features.
