Invincible VS has announced its four-day closed alpha test will be coming in late November, along with revealing Robot and Monster Girl for the upcoming superhero fighting game. While attentive fans have known that the Invincible VS closed alpha test would be coming since early October, a new trailer pinpoints when those who are chosen to participate will get their first crack at the game.
The three-on-three fighting game based on Robert Kirkman's Invincible comic series and its Amazon Prime animated television adaptation was first announced in early June, being developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games. With an expected release in 2026, Invincible VS promises to deliver a large cast of familiar characters and locations, and its development team has past fighting game experience, being led by members who worked on 2013's Killer Instinct.

Invincible VS will finally bring the brutal superhero spectacle to the world of AAA gaming, and it already has a trick up its sleeve
Invincible VS Closed Alpha Test Dates
- Friday, November 21 – Monday, November 24
In a newly released trailer, the developers have now shared that select players will get their first hands-on experience with a build of the game on November 21, with a closed alpha session that is set to end on November 24. A link to sign up for the closed alpha is now available on the top banner of the official Invincible VS website, inviting potential players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to take part, get a first look at its gameplay, and provide feedback for helping the Invincible universe expand into the fighting game realm. Although the game is also planned for release on PC via Steam, only console players will be able to take part in the closed alpha.
While letting players know when they will get their first shot at Invincible VS is an important part of the trailer, its central focus is on its two most recently revealed characters, Robot and Monster Girl. The trailer shows off nearly two minutes of footage of these two allies of Mark Grayson in action, both as a team and squaring off against each other. Though technically in her 20s, Monster Girl is able to shape-shift between the forms of a 12-year-old girl and a hulking green monster with superhuman strength and toughness. Joining her on the roster is Robot, a brilliant but frail scientist who uses his mechanical body to more than make up for his organic one's physical limitations.
Kirkman, who has an active supervisory role in the game's development alongside original comic illustrators Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, has already promised that the playable roster of Invincible VS will be "absolutely insane," stating with almost full certainty that if fans can think of an Invincible character, they'll be in the game. Before the latest reveal, the only characters who had been officially confirmed for the game had been Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Bulletproof, Battle Beast, Lucan, Thula, and Cecil Stedman. Still weighing in at less than a dozen characters, Kirkman's claims make it likely that plenty more character reveals will be coming as Invincible VS heads towards its 2026 release.
