Just like other life simulation games, there are many careers in InZOI, and one of the most unique and exciting for players is an esports career. This job allows Zois to become pro gamers, starting out as amateurs and eventually becoming world-renowned superstars.
All Jobs and Careers in InZOI
inZOI allows your ZOI to take on many different career paths, depending on the workplaces available in their home city, so here's a breakdown.
Unfortunately, at Early Access launch, this InZOI career is a 'rabbit hole' job, meaning that the Zoi will get in a taxi to leave for work, and players won't be able to control them until the shift is over. Down the line, this will hopefully be updated to become an active job, similar to the firefighter career, for example.
Best Traits & Setup For The Esports Career In InZOI
For the best chance of succeeding as an esports player in InZOI, players can give their Zois certain Traits and Preferences, and perhaps most importantly, work on the programming skill.
Best Traits For The Esports Career
- Go-Getter
- Perfectionist
- Leader
Best Preferences For The Esports Career
- Gaming
- Self-Help Books
- Coffee
How To Level Up The Programming Skill
Zois will need to work on programming in their spare time, as this will make them better gamers. This is one advantage of starting as an adolescent or teenager, as they can reach the maximum level of 10 in programming before starting their esports career.
- Gaming at a PC, the PC Cafe (Plesio Gaming Cafe), or on a handheld device.
- Work on coding on a home PC. This includes plugins, mods, games, and apps.
- Read books on programming.
- During school, click on the briefcase next to your Zoi in the top right. There's an option to slip away to the gaming cafe during breaks.
- Talk about gaming strategies with friends.

Requirements For Becoming An Esports Player In InZOI
Not everyone can become an esports player in InZOI. Here are some requirements:
- Live in Dowon, as this is an exclusive career in this city.
- Be a young adult, adult, or middle-aged. Teenagers are too young to work.
- Don't have another job. Being an esports player is a full-time career.
For immersion and a fun playthrough, players could create 5 Zois who all become esports players and live in a gaming house together like many real teams do.
How To Become A Pro Esports Player In InZOI
Once Zois become a young adult, or decide to leave another job, they can press P to bring up the phone and then navigate to the Careers app. Click on DG Esports and apply to be an amateur gamer.
After being accepted, Zois will have a new schedule for the week, with three days being spent at work. All you need to do is make sure your Zoi is available at these times, well-rested, and fed. If you are controlling them directly when the time arrives, a pop-up will appear, so make sure to select the go to work option.
What To Do At Work As An Esports Player
For the time being, the esports career unfortunately does not have much interaction, with the Zoi getting in a taxi and disappearing for the day. Hopefully, at a later date during Early Access, this will become an active job.
In the top right, players can click on a briefcase icon next to their Zoi and choose some options, but other than the 'Leave Early' decision, it doesn't appear as though these have an impact. The other options are:
- Participate in Guild Raid
- Start Gaming Live Stream
- Check Game Patch Notes
- Get In-Game Achievement
There will be some important decisions, however, which pop up during the working day with different outcomes. For example, a Zoi might find themselves 1 v 5 in a mostly lost game. The options are whether they should give up and save some mental energy, or fight it out for the small chance of victory?
You only have 30 seconds to read these events and select an option.
How To Get Promoted As An Esports Player
There are currently three levels in InZOI's esports career:
- Amateur Gamer: 264 Meows
- Pro Gamer: 864 Meows
- Legendary Gamer: 1998 Meows

To advance and earn more money, Zois will want to make sure they don't miss any days or leave work early. To go from an Amateur Gamer to a Pro Gamer, Zois will need to work for 6 full days. Players can check their progress in the careers app.
After reaching 100% progress, some time will pass, and within a few days, Zois should get a pop-up and text message informing them of their promotion. For now, not much changes other than them earning more money. The progress toward becoming a Legendary Gamer appears to be bugged or not implemented at the moment.
