UPDATE 3/28: KRAFTON has revealed the ability to hit children with cars in InZOI was caused by a bug, and a recent patch has resolved the issue. The official statement from KRAFTON reads as follows: "This issue was caused by an unintended bug that has been resolved in the latest patch. These depictions are highly inappropriate and do not reflect the intent and values of inZOI. We understand the seriousness of this matter and age-appropriate content and we are strengthening our internal review processes to prevent similar incidents in the future."

Original story follows.

Summary

  • InZOI allows players to hit children with cars.
  • It's likely that this is not intentional and will be patched out.
  • After all, something like this could impact the game's age rating.

Gamers have recently discovered that it’s possible to hit children with cars in InZOI. InZOI is an early access life simulation game, and as usual with new titles, players are always trying to find ways to break the experience by doing crazy things like running over kids with cars.

The popular InZOI was recently released in early access, and it’s set to be a big competitor for The Sims 4. With more realistic graphics but similar gameplay to The Sims franchise, InZOI is already a hit. Gamers are discovering all kinds of things that are possible to do in the game's early access, including something rather shocking.

InZOI lets players create uniquely detailed Zois with diverse options, from facial features to personality to stylish outfits.

HeeeydevonGaming on Reddit has recently discovered that it’s possible to run over children with cars in InZOI, and decided to share a video of this controversial action with the community. In the short clip, it’s possible to see HeeeydevonGaming driving inside an elementary school’s sports court, and approaching a small group of children with a car. When the car touches the first child, they are launched dramatically. The developers of InZOI may likely patch this shortly, as this kind of violence could impact the game’s age rating.

InZOI Player Hits Child With a Car

So far, InZOI has been a big hit. While its publisher Krafton has not yet divulged any sales numbers, InZOI quickly passed The Sims 4 on the Steam charts, with over 83,000 players trying it out at the time of this report, while EA’s game peaked at just over 38,000 gamers in the last 24 hours.

The life sim’s success is not surprising considering that InZOI became the most wishlisted game on Steam recently, overcoming the highly expected Hollow Knight: Silksong. In any case, it remains to be seen how the game will continue to maintain its popularity over the early access period.

A few days ago, the developers shared a roadmap for InZOI, detailing its upcoming updates. The first update will be out in May, adding cheat codes, more furniture, updates, a modding kit, and much more to the game. Update 2 will release in August, adding a free DLC with Kucingku Cat Island to the life simulation game, which is described as a Southeast Asian-inspired location with many cats.
