Controls & Hotkeys For InZOI

The controls in InZOI are a little different compared with other similar games in the life simulation genre, and some players may find themselves a bit confused when starting out. The game features both point-and-click movement and controls, as well as a WASD system for walking or running around.

At the Early Access launch, this is complicated by many of the controls not being seen in the Options, although one of the in-game guides thankfully covers this a little. To get players up to speed, this guide will cover the basic controls as well as some helpful hotkeys for InZOI, otherwise known as keyboard shortcuts.

At this time, there is no controller support for InZOI, but there will be in the future.

Basic Controls & Hotkeys In InZOI

Look/Rotate Camera	RMB + Drag	Can be used with any camera mode.
Move	LMB + Options	Works better than WASD at high speeds.
Move	WASD	Best when walking around the city at low speeds.
Sprint	Shift	Only when using WASD controls.
Switch Camera	Tab	Switches between Top view and Shoulder View
Free Camera	Ctrl + Tab	Great for seeing things unrelated to your Zois.
Up/Down In Free Camera	Q/E	Also used in build mode & photo mode.
Switch Zois	Spacebar	It will take time to load if the other Zoi is far away.
Open Menu	Esc	Will also pause the game.

Time Controls & Hotkeys In InZOI

Pause	0	1 can also be used if the speed is at 1. Esc will also pause the game.
Play/Slow	1	2-4 can be used to play on faster speeds.
Normal Speed	2	x1.5 speed.
Fast Speed	3	x3 speed
Very Fast	4	x5 speed. For higher speeds, drag the time bar.

Building Controls & Hotkeys In InZOI

Open/Close Build Mode	I	Can also be clicked in the bottom left.
Place Item	LMB	Such as furniture or a new wall.
Undo	Ctrl + Z	After placing an object, for example.
Redo	Ctrl + Shift + Z	Different to Redo in most software.
Select Tool	V	Select individual furniture.
Select Room/Create a Surface	R	Select entire rooms.
Hide/Show Grid	G	The grid is good for placement.
Hide/Show Walls	Home/End	Sometimes walls will get in the way of building.
Up/Down a Floor	Page Up/Down	Useful for making multi-story buildings or seeing roofs.
Freely Place	Alt	Place furniture unrestricted by the grid.
Continuous Placement	Shift + LMB	Place lots of the same item over and over.
Rotate Left/Right	Z/C	Easier than clicking the UI.
