inZOI Island Getaway: Everything You Can Do On Cahaya

Island Getaway is the first DLC for inZOI, and as it's free, all players can enjoy themselves on the islands of Cahaya. While many features carry over from the other two cities of Dowon and Bliss Bay, there are plenty of new and exclusive things to do in Cahaya.

inZOI allows your ZOI to take on many different career paths, depending on the workplaces available in their home city, so here's a breakdown.

Naturally, many of the new features in Island Getaway include the beach and sea of the holiday location, but there are also ways for long-term residents of the islands to make a living, such as farming and crafting.

Players need to claim the free DLC and download it. Simply updating the game is not enough.

Farming, Mining, & Crafting

A New Way To Play inZOI

If players choose to live on the main island, then they can try to make a living and do a rags-to-riches playthrough by living off the land. It's possible to farm and sell food products at a local shop, with players eventually being able to take over this shop. Bad floods, however, might mess up the crops, so planning for disasters is key.

Mining is another possibility, which ties into crafting and other similar mechanics that players might expect to find in Stardew Valley and other similar games. Players will want to build a crafting table in their yard, with something like a pickaxe being a good early option.

Stay At A Resort

Experience A Luxury Holiday In inZOI

While Zois can live on the main island and make a living for themselves, there is also the option to visit the resort island and book a stay for a couple of nights. There are a few different villas to choose from, but be prepared to have enough money, not only for the accommodation, but for extras too. Some villas even have swimming pools, but this accommodation cannot be modified in build mode.

At the resort, there are activities such as billiards and bowling, as well as an arcade area where zois exchange money for Resort Coins. They can then test their luck at various arcade games, and even challenge other players to basketball shots, with Resort Coins being given to the winner of the bet.

Snorkeling/Diving

Swim With Fish & Explore Coral Reefs Or Submerged Temples

One of the main attractions of Cahaya is underwater diving, but first, zois must purchase snorkeling gear. A zoi must also improve their swimming skill before they are able to dive. Exercises in the water, such as practicing holding their breath, can also help level up this skill.

With a high enough swimming skill, zois can then either swim out to deeper waters or rent a boat and climb off its back. Underwater, players will be able to swim with fish, and in different parts of the sea marked on the map, they will find turtles, dolphins, and even dangerous marine life such as sharks and jellyfish. There are also coral reefs to explore, and ancient temples submerged on the sea floor. Here, they may even find treasure.

Drive Boats & Fish From Them

Get The Most Out Of The Islands Of Cahaya

Six different types of boats can be rented in Cahaya, allowing families of zois to enjoy the open waters. This works similarly to driving cars, but is more of a leisure activity. If players require transportation to any of the three islands, there are instant boat taxis, similar to other public transport in inZOI, essentially fast travel.

Players can use their boat to kick off diving adventures, to explore the coasts freely, or they can even fish from the back of one as long as they've bought, found, or crafted a fishing rod. There is even the option to sunbathe on some boats.

New Careers Including Tourism & Conservation

Unfortunately, They Are All Rabbit Hole Jobs

There are a variety of new jobs unique to Cahaya, while a few, such as working as a lawyer, carry over. At the release of the Island Getaway DLC, the following are all the available careers, all of which are full-time

Investigator for an Encyclopedia Association

Lotus Space Assistant for Meditation & Yoga

Miner

Some of these have room for promotions, but there are no promotions for miners or gardeners. Unfortunately, these are all rabbit hole jobs for now, so players won't actually get to experience the work themselves.

Spa Day

Zois Can Relax In The Sauna Or Receive Massages

At Cahaya's resort, there is everything one could need for fun and relaxation, including a spa, which must be paid for. If a zoi is stressed and overworked, a spa day is the perfect solution, and they will find a sauna, as well as massage options.

InZOI: Best Houses

The best prebuilt houses in InZOI are often made by other players on Canvas, but a few default ones are great too.

In the massage chairs, zois can receive separate massages for their feet, hands, and scalp, or they can have their feet soaked in buckets of fish or roses. On the massage tables, they can instead receive full-body massages provided by the staff.

Visit The Cat Temple

Play With Cats, Give Them Treats, & Meditate With Them

While this DLC doesn't allow players to have pets, with that feature promised for the future, players can get their animal fix by visiting the Cat Temple in Cahaya. Outside, players can purchase various cat-related items, such as treats, toys, a talisman, and Catnip Candy.

Then they can climb the temple stairs and interact with the cats, giving them treats or playing with them. Depending on the zoi's personality and needs, this will likely make them happy. There is even the option to meditate with the cats. The temple is technically called the Miatara Temple and is found in the southern part of the resort island.
