InZOI has released another new update for April 2025, this time adding new items to the game's build mode and character creator. While InZOI is still in Steam early access, developer InZOI Studio has continued to release a steady stream of new updates, making numerous gameplay improvements and fixes based on player feedback.
Earlier this month, InZOI outlined some significant changes to its roadmap. After peaking at almost 90,000 concurrent players on launch day, game director Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim revealed that the development studio behind the new life simulation title would be releasing various hotfix updates throughout the course of April. The director noted that these updates would be smaller in scale and would be based on feedback from players, as well as addressing any general bugs and glitches that would arise. With the month coming to a close, Kim has kept his promise and continues to release new updates with vital changes and improvements.
One InZOI Feature is the Wildcard The Sims Formula Needs
In a genre that thrives on unpredictability, InZOI introduces a wildcard feature that The Sims should absolutely take notes on.
Following on from numerous other InZOI updates in April, developer InZOI Studio has once again deployed a new patch for April 29. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, the game's latest update has added plenty of new items for players to check out. Those looking to customize their Zois with even more outfit styles now have three new short-lengthed hairstyle options, two new basic tops, one new basic bottom, three new sock types, nine new stockings, four new hats, one new pair of glasses, five new hair accessories, and two new eyelash styles.
As for InZOI's build mode, the latest update has added twenty-five new textures for walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings, as well as four new short-length stair types, thirteen new doors, and sixteen new windows. All of these new additions are available in-game for free and can be viewed via the new banner in the game's lobby.
Alongside plenty of new items, InZOI Studio has also made some important gameplay adjustments. Following the latest update, lots will now become dirty at a much slower rate, as the studio says that the previous setting was causing pollution to occur too frequently and was disrupting the natural flow of the gameplay. The latest update has also improved sudden emotional stability for Zois, as fans believe the previous setting was causing Zois' emotions to change too rapidly and unnaturally.
While InZOI's player count is continuing to hit new lows on Steam, updates such as these are a surefire way to keep the game's audience engaged. With EA's The Sims dominating the life sim genre for years, fans are eager for something new and fresh. Thankfully, InZOI Studio has plenty of big content updates planned for the future, with the first set to arrive sometime in May.

- Slower Rate of Lot Pollution
※ [inZOI Team’s Comment] We have significantly slowed the rate at which lots become dirty. Although cleanliness is designed as an element Creators can manage themselves, the previous setting caused pollution to occur too frequently, disrupting the natural flow of gameplay. With this patch, the pollution speed has been greatly eased, and we are also considering adding an option to disable lot cleanliness changes entirely in a future update.
- Improved Sudden Emotional Stability for Zois
※ [inZOI Team’s Comment] Based on reports from Creators, we have addressed the issue where Zois' emotions would change too rapidly and unnaturally. Now, the primary emotion will only change if the emotional score reaches 2 points or higher. Otherwise, the Zois' base emotion will remain stable. As this adjustment might slow emotional changes slightly in some situations, we plan to introduce further improvements to ensure even more natural emotional transitions.
- Adjusted hunger restoration from street food to prevent Zois from getting hungry too frequently.
4. Bug Fixes
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where male Zois could not eat street food while seated.
- Fixed an issue where the Tteokbokki-related urge could not be completed.
Character
- Fixed an issue where Zois' facial appearance set in 'Create a Zoi' appeared differently in-game.
Build Mode
- Fixed an issue where the original creator was not retained when applying a lot preset of a different size than the current property.
- Fixed an issue where the default color and material would only apply to part of the stairs after rotating stairs and applying a stair wall.
Crash Fixes
- Fixed an issue where graphical glitches and intermittent freezes could occur during SceneDepthZ processing while playing.
Other Issues
- Fixed an issue where changes made in Game Options were automatically applied without clicking "Apply" in the confirmation popup.
- Fixed an issue where save files could not be loaded if the file path contained certain special characters.
Finally, we've improved localization quality for several languages to ensure a more natural experience. You can check the localization status for each language under [Options > Gameplay > Game Language]. We’ll continue working to make inZOI more stable and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and valuable feedback.
