Madden NFL 26, like many annual sports titles, has a Deluxe Edition that offers fans some additional in-game goodies. However, just because there's extra content on offer doesn't mean that it's worth the extra cost over the standard edition for everyone. Depending on what game modes you enjoy playing, you might find that you're better off sticking with just the standard edition of the game. Here, I'll give an overview of Madden 26's Deluxe Edition contents and price to help you determine whether it's worth buying or if you're better off sticking with the standard edition.
Madden 26: All Quicksell Values in Ultimate Team
Any duplicate or unwanted cards in Madden 26 Ultimate Team can be quicksold for Training Points or Coins. Here's what they're all worth.
What's in Madden 26 Deluxe Edition?
The Deluxe Edition comes with the standard copy of the game and also includes seven days of early access, which kicked off last week. However, with the standard edition officially launching today as this article is posted, that early access is no longer really a benefit of purchasing the Deluxe Edition. We've included it in the list below, regardless, just to give an accurate representation of everything included.
- 7 Day Early Access
- 4600 Madden Points
- Early Access Solo Challenges
- Ultimate Team HOF Player Item
- Cover Athlete Elite Player Item*
- Season 1 Elite Player Item
- Franchise Coach Ability Points*
- Player Card Exclusive Item
- Super Star Legendary XP Boost*
- Bundle Content Elite Player Item
The items marked with an * are preorder bonuses and come with both the standard and Deluxe versions of the game if you preorder either of them before the game's official release date of 12 pm ET on August 14.
If you bought the MVP Bundle, you'll have access to both the Deluxe Editions of College Football 26, and Madden 26. You just need to download it from your platform's digital storefront.
Who Should Buy the Madden 26 Deluxe Edition?
Ultimately, the answer depends on what game modes you primarily play. For those who enjoy playing Madden Ultimate Team, there's a good amount of value to be had in the Deluxe Edition. That's because the Deluxe Edition costs $30 more than the standard edition, but includes 4600 Madden Points, which would cost roughly $35 if they were purchased separately.
This is a rough estimation of the cost of 4600 Madden Points, because EA don't allow you to purchase that exact amount of points as microtransactions.
Therefore, if you play a lot of Madden Ultimate Team and normally buy points to purchase packs, then you're technically making a small saving on those alone. Throw in the early access solo challenges, and four different player items included in the Deluxe Edition, and that's a lot of value for Ultimate Team players. Keep in mind, though, that you can always farm Ultimate Team coins to help you buy more packs and players from the Auction House if you'd rather not buy Madden Points.
On the other hand, those who won't be playing Madden 26's Ultimate Team (or not a lot of it) aren't going to get the same amount of value from the Deluxe Edition. The Franchise Coach Ability Points and Super Star Legendary XP Boost will give you a nice head start in the Franchise and Superstar modes, respectively, but beyond that, there's not a lot else here to warrant paying the extra $30. These can also be picked up with the standard edition of the game if you're fast and pre-order it before the game officially launches later today.
As such, I'd recommend only picking up the Deluxe Edition now if you're a big Ultimate Team player and normally spend money on Madden Points to buy some packs. This way, you're saving money on the Madden Points you'd buy, and you're getting a bunch of free player items to help get your team started. Throw in the other little bonuses in other game modes if you play those, and there's a good value proposition in purchasing Madden 26's Ultimate Edition.
For future years, if you're looking forward to the new Madden, purchasing the Deluxe Edition for the early access period can make it even more worthwhile as you'll get an entire week of playing the game before those picking up the standard edition. However, the monetary value of this early access period will vary from player to player.
