IShowSpeed is a massively popular YouTube streamer and content creator best known for his energetic and somewhat chaotic livestreams and videos about gaming, often featuring well-known titles like FIFA, Fortnite, and Five Nights at Freddy's. IShowSpeed has a huge young audience that follows his content, which includes over-the-top reactions, chat trolling, and bizarre challenges. Despite his tremendous popularity, IShowSpeed has also been controversial and has faced temporary bans in the past due to “inappropriate” behavior on platforms like Twitch. Recently, the streamer’s transmission was disrupted by a swatting incident.
IShowSpeed Reveals Next Stop for Streaming Tour
Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed is continuing world tour in two Asian countries, where he'll do IRL streams starting this month.
While doing an IRL stream at KFC, popular streamer IShowSpeed got swatted and had to explain to the cops what he was doing. In the video, IShowSpeed met up with fellow streamer Cuffem, and while he was heading out of the place, several police cars swarmed the fast-food restaurant, taking him by surprise. The police detained some people inside, and when they got to where IShowSpeed was, they told him they’d received a call saying someone was jumping on the counter, had a gun, and was throwing food. Even though the police had to follow standard procedures to make sure everything was alright, the streamer had the chance to show them he wasn’t doing anything illegal. He explained to them that he is a streamer and was just making content for his channel.
IShowSpeed Got Swatted After a Call Claimed Someone Had a Gun at KFC
Before having the chance to speak to the police, IShowSpeed said he gets swatted every time he tries to do something like that. Falsely reporting a serious emergency (like in this case, saying someone had a gun at the restaurant) so that the police show up heavily armed is a crime that can lead to someone being seriously injured.
Many other streamers have been swatted in the past, and despite some severe consequences these incidents have caused, they continue to happen. Luckily for IShowSpeed, nothing happened, and he was allowed to walk away once the cops found out he was doing nothing wrong.
