Back in 2021, IShowSpeed was permabanned on Twitch after making some controversial remarks while streaming with Adin Ross. This led to him moving his streams to YouTube, where he amassed over 42 million subscribers over the last few years. Although the ban was finally lifted in 2023, IShowSpeed only returned to Twitch in July 2025 to do IRL streams of his European adventures in countries like Estonia, Greece, and France.

On July 15, which is eight days after IShowSpeed started streaming on Twitch again, he had already gained over 1 million followers on the streaming platform. It's an impressive feat considering that it's only been about a week since the streamer returned to Twitch, but it's also unsurprising considering his ever-growing popularity. Likewise, Speed's world tour, where he travels to different countries and shares his experiences on IRL streams, has also raked in thousands and millions of views back when he was only streaming on YouTube. It's expected that he can bring in the same viewership numbers on Twitch during his European trip and his future tours.

There has been an ongoing trend of streamers jumping from one platform to another, and it's mostly evident among YouTube Gaming streamers moving back to Twitch after their exclusive contracts ended.
