Developer Jackbox Games, formerly known as Jellyvision Games, released the party game You Don't Know Jack in 1995 which would later evolve into the first Jackbox Party Pack in 2014. This started the Jackbox Party Pack series as it is known today, with each entry having its own set of party minigames like Tee K.O, Trivia Murder Party, and Quiplash. New packs have been released annually, with the latest being the release of The Jackbox Party Pack 9 in October 2022.
The Jackbox Party Pack series has been continuously lauded as being some of the best party games for those looking for something to play with friends locally or online. Fans will soon have more to play thanks to the announcement of The Jackbox Party Pack 10 which will release this fall for all major platforms and feature five minigames. Jackbox Games commemorated this announcement with a video featuring developers, creators, and Jackbox fans speaking on their experiences with the series, some of which got their start with the original You Don't Know Jack in 1995.
Whereas Jackbox Party Pack 9 received a language update that added support for more languages, Jackbox Games stated in a blog post that Jackbox Party Pack 10 will be available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. In the same blog post, the developer revealed that it will be highlighting one Jackbox Party Pack a month leading up to The Jackbox Party Pack 10's release, beginning with the first pack in January and continuing with the second pack this month. On top of that, it will be featuring behind-the-scenes content, special live streams, and offering Steam discount codes for each featured pack in the official Jackbox Games shop.
A new Jackbox Party Pack release may not seem that noteworthy given how regularly it has happened, but Jackbox Party Pack 10 will mark the tenth entry in the franchise and stands as a testament to the popularity of the series. Many of the best Jackbox minigames are easy to understand and offer plenty of variety, meaning that almost anybody can join a game of Jackbox.
