The Jackbox Party Pack 9 has announced a new update coming to the collection of party games. Players will be able to update their games for a litany of new language options, and for non-PC users, some fresh content.

The Jackbox Party Pack is part of a long-running collection of irreverent party games that's received a new edition almost every year since 2014. Jackbox Party Pack 9 came out in October this year, and included Fibbage 4, Roomerang, Junktopia, Nonsensory, and Quixort.

The new update for Jackbox Party Pack is adding a host of new languages to the title, allowing players from all over the world to give it a try in their native tongue. The game now includes French, Italian, German, Latin American Spanish, and Castilian Spanish as language options and is fully translated into those languages from start to finish. While Jackbox Games has released translations for some of its games before, this is the first full Jackbox Party Pack to receive these additional languages. Translation likely wasn't an easy task, as many of the Jackbox games revolve around tongue-in-cheek humor and puns that may not translate directly.

For those who have picked up the game via console, the title will also be receiving some fixes and fresh content. Fibbage 4 includes new themed episodes and 30 additional questions. Junktopia is receiving new items, content, music, and sounds, Quixort has seen gameplay updates, and Roomerang is getting winner movement updates, new house backgrounds, and updated animations. The content previously released for PC and is out now for Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation consoles via an update. However, the additional languages won't arrive on the Switch version until January 2023.

While international fans of the Jackbox Party Pack games are likely happy to see the new language options being added, the developer also addressed whether the older games would see language updates. According to a statement, the company does not intend to make any changes to the languages in the older Party Packs at this time, but isn't saying no to the idea outright. At the moment, it's not a priority for the dev, but perhaps if there's enough fan demand that could change.

Jackbox Party Pack games have proven to be popular among many gamers, ranging from casual users who don't often play video games to popular streamers on the web. The wacky games likely would be popular on their own, but the Jackbox Party Pack is also a popular pick for letting additional players join in on their mobile devices, without the need for another copy of the game or even additional controllers. These new language options are likely to propel the game even further.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
