James Gunn's DC Universe may be growing with Teen Titans projects in the works. Since Gunn and Peter Safran took creative control of Warner Bros.' DC slate of movies and TV shows, they have outlined unique plans that are now taking form. The animated series Creature Commandos hit late last year, kicking things off, with Gunn's Superman film hitting theaters this summer. Superman promises to be the best look yet at their plans for the wider DC Universe, highlighting several characters.
Peacemaker also recently released a season 2 trailer, which saw characters from Superman, like Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner and Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, making appearances. The planned Supergirl film even wrapped filming, continuing to expand the universe. Gunn and Safran have also announced other projects, like the Lanterns series that is in production, and the Amanda Waller series starring Viola Davis. DC has even taken a gamble, greenlighting a Clayface film penned by horror master Mike Flanagan. Wth all the announced DCU plans, a possible live-action Teen Titans film has been spoken of, but now there may be more than one project being developed.

Robin's bird-inspired identity is merely a persona. Does the show divulge who he really is?
While appearing on the SmatLess Podcast, Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca, Co-Chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, let slip that James Gunn and Peter Safran are working on a live-action Teen Titans and an animated Teen Titans Go! Project. Speaking with the hosts, Abdy and De Luca stated, "I think James and Peter are working on a live-action Teen Titans, and a new Teen Titans Go! I think, actually, too." Word of a potential live-action Teen Titans film has been around since last year, when THR reported on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow screenwriter penning a script for the team film. However, a new Teen Titans Go! Animated film seems to also be in development.

Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! Are Perfect For The DC Universe
Titans was a live-action adaptation of the comic characters that debuted in 2018 and ran for four seasons. It featured Robin, Beast, Starfire, and Raven, and the tone was more mature for adult audiences. While little is known about the live-action Teen Titans film in the DCU, it will likely avoid this direction, playing for teen audiences, much like the characters at its core. However, the eclectic team could be perfect for the DCU, as they have continued to prove popular over the years.
Teen Titans Go! Is an animated series geared toward younger audiences. It features many of the same characters, including Cyborg. The show has seen great success, running for nine seasons. They even had a theatrically released film in 2018's Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. There was also the straight-to-video release Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, which saw their universe clash with that of the 2003 Teen Titans series. Teen Titans Go! Also had one of the strangest TV movies, with Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam, which is just the characters watching Space Jam and making comments à la Mystery Science Theater.
The characters and style of Teen Titans Go! Still endure with young audiences, making it a great fit to expand the DC Universe to younger superhero fans. While further details will be forthcoming as the projects develop, the Teen Titans seem to have a bright future in the DC Universe, with multiple projects to be excited about.
