When players start Cronos: The New Dawn, they'll come across several chained-up doors that require bolt cutters to open. While there won't be any just lying around, you'll naturally progress through the game until you come across a locked tool store with a missing key. Players will find the bolt cutters in the Jedrus tool store, but they'll have to head into a nearby apartment complex to get the key. Here's how players can find both the Jedrus hardware store key and the bolt cutters in Cronos: The New Dawn.
What To Do With Valuables in Cronos: The New Dawn?
Valuables are items in Cronos: The New Dawn. Here's what players can do with them.
Jedrus Tool Store Key Location in Cronos: The New Dawn
While players are exploring the first area in Cronos: The New Dawn, they'll come across a locked tool/hardware store. It'll have a note on the side, hinting that the key might be located inside the block 34 building, apartment no. 29. After reading the note, head towards the right side, through the double doors, and into the streets. You'll spot a building labeled 34 right in front of you that you'll need to enter to find apartment 29 and the tool store key.
After entering the building, there's a safe room to the right that you can use to save your game and manage your inventory. After that, head up the staircase, and you'll come across pulsating sacks with a green glow. Shoot these sacks before proceeding ahead, as they'll explode if you get close, spreading a pool of acid. Next, you'll need to shoot the barrel or use the Flamethrower to burn off the vines to progress further.
After interacting with two Time Oddities on the next floor, you'll reach the third floor. Here, you'll need to burn through two vine walls to reach apartment no. 29 at the end of the hallway. Once you head inside, clear the room of all enemies first. Once the coast is clear, head to the balcony and enter the room beside it through a wall outside. You'll find the Jedrus Tool Store key inside, on a table behind the wall.
How to Get the Bolt Cutters at the Tool Store
Once you return to the tool store, use the key to enter. You'll notice that the door to the back room, which contains the bolt cutters, is locked. To open the door, go around the room and see through the opening to spot a vine wall blocking the entryway. Shoot the canister on top of the shelves to burn the vines away.
Be careful, as when you try to open the door, a large enemy will burst out of it. You can quickly defeat the enemy with charged blasts from your shotgun. Once the enemy is defeated, head inside the back room, and you'll be able to grab the bolt cutters inside. Now, you'll be able to open all the chained doors in Cronos: The New Dawn.
