What Lies After Level 100?

In most games, level 100 is the maximum a player can reach after extensive grinding and playing. However, in Solo Leveling, despite the video game-like function of the system, level 100 is not the limit at all. Contrary to initial expectations that Jin-Woo would become stagnant, he continues to level up beyond 100. Simply put, his unique ability to level up won’t stop unless the system itself is destroyed.

Hence, fans can expect to see the familiar level-up prompts appear over and over again throughout the events that will unfold in Solo Leveling season 3. As in the manhwa, Jin-Woo will continue gaining levels by defeating powerful opponents and clearing dungeons. The good thing is that his shadow army can speed up this process, as they can earn experience points on his behalf.

If the third season adapts the story from the Ahjin Guild arc through the International Guild Conference arc, fans will most likely see the arrival of Jima and Greed. Without revealing too much, Jima is a dungeon boss, while Greed is a powerful hunter who ultimately fails to escape Jin-Woo and is bound to live a life of servitude.

As Jin-Woo grows stronger, he also draws closer to the truth behind his powers. A major part of his evolution that’s expected to be adapted in Solo Leveling season 3 will happen after he returns to the Cartenon Temple—the place where it all began for him. There, he will fight the system’s Architect, otherwise known as Kandiaru, a loyal and faithful mage working for the Shadow Monarch.

Now that Jin-Woo's body has adapted to the Shadow Monarch’s power, the Architect will do his best to ensure Ashborn’s flawless ascent to the human world. Apparently, his mission is to find the perfect vessel for the Shadow Monarch to inhabit via the system in exchange for his immortality. Unfortunately, his plans are ruined by the Shadow Monarch’s unexpected betrayal.

Instead of taking over Jin-Woo's body, the Shadow Monarch will choose him as his successor. In addition, he will give him the Black Heart, which will instantly boost his magical energy. However, Jin-Woo is still far from inheriting the full power of the Shadow Monarch and remains an incomplete monarch among his kind.

The release date for Solo Leveling season 3 is not yet confirmed, but the hype surrounding the events that follow the second season is at an all-time high. With everything set to unfold, Jin-Woo is expected to earn more aura points and evolve further as the official successor of the Shadow Monarch.
