The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Viz Media has confirmed that it will be releasing another art book in 2026. It is written by Hirohiko Araki, and in the manuscript, the author will include instructions on how to create villains.

At the time of writing, there is not an exact date, but fans can pick up the book sometime in Summer 2026. The new manual by Araki will help budding writers to create antagonists for their respective works.

As previously stated, the Steel Ball Run anime is currently in production at David Production. The studio has been in charge of animating all previous parts, so fans don't have to worry about the quality of the anime. A handful of teasers have always been shared with the audience, and so far everything looks to be in order.

The Steel Ball Run anime is targeting a 2026 release, with some reports suggesting that it will air in March or April of the same year. Obviously, the anime could be delayed if the staff cannot complete the production within the allotted time. If the anime is indeed pushed back, then it might release in Fall 2026.

There are some fans who are concerned about Steel Ball Run's release schedule. Netflix was in charge of Steel Ball Run, and the streaming website resorted to releasing episodes in batches, which killed the momentum for fans. They had to wait for months to get the next batch of episodes. Hopefully, Netflix won't make the same mistake again, and will release episodes on a weekly basis, allowing fans to watch the anime every week.
