2026 is going to be a packed year for anime. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 are some of the few big hits coming soon. While both of them are going to be absolutely phenomenal for anime fans, another series that could be called 2026’s biggest anime has officially been confirmed, and that's JoJo Part 7, Steel Ball Run.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Just Retconned The Lore For This Major Character
The official JoJo Magazine account has just made a major retcon about a character in the multiverse of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
The story for JoJo Part 7 is going to be incredible, but the new teaser that dropped recently is worrying, and the quality of the animation and production doesn't look good at all. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run’s latest update looked promising, but it has turned out to be disappointing, more than anything. Jojo’s Part 7 is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2026 on Netflix, and it’s not looking promising. Given what Stone Ocean delivered, this was to be expected, but it is still disappointing as Steel Ball Run is one of the most ambitious parts of this packed franchise.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Received A Teaser Trailer
- Fans Were Excited, But The Quality is Disappointing
- The Teaser Doesn’t Look Too Promising
Fans of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure were excitedly waiting for September. That is because on September 23, 2025, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run was supposed to drop a huge update, and it certainly did. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures: Steel Ball Run got its very first teaser trailer, and while that’s great, it’s safe to say that fans aren’t too happy with what was revealed.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Release Date Confirmed
Steel Ball Run is coming to Netflix in 2026.
Fans were quick to complain about the style used, but even more so the animation, which many felt was lackluster, to say the least. The teaser trailer for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run can be watched here on YouTube:
With the teaser having been revealed, many fans are concerned about the final product that David Productions is going to put out, especially as Steel Ball Run is one of the most popular and anticipated parts to get animated.
Should Fans Be Worried For Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run?
- Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Was Never Known For Incredible Animation
- Part 7 Will Be Like Any Other Part
Numerous JoJo fans are shocked by the quality shown by the teaser trailer, but at the end of the day, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure was never a series known for its incredible animation. The anime heavily relies on its unique stylization and art, instead of flashy animation. The only part that received above-average treatment was Part 5, but fans saw that disappear with Part 6 as the series returned to the usual lacklustre animation.
This was especially bound to happen with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, as it was quite evident that it would be the most challenging part of Jojo to adapt due to the horses and designs. At the end of the day, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run will be like any other average Jojo part with no spectacular animation, and the story will carry the anime.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is no short series. Right now, the series has 6 animated parts, each having its own protagonist. In total, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has 190 episodes available to watch. People interested in the series and who want to catch up before Part 7 hits can stream all of these episodes on Crunchyroll. Part 6, known as Stone Ocean, is instead available on Netflix.
