Jujutsu Kaisen: The Strongest Characters In Season 3, Ranked

Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is set to be filled with some of the strongest characters in the series, so let's break down who they are.

Maki Awakens And Eliminates The Entire Zenin Clan

The Reincarnation of Toji

  • Maki realizes the truth of her Heavenly Restriction.

In general, Jujutsu society is incredibly bigoted towards regular humans born without the ability to use Cursed Energy, especially within the Zenin clan. Due to her being born a twin with a Heavenly Restriction, Maki was always notably weak and was rejected by her clan because of this. However, everything changed in the Culling Game.

Upon Mai's sacrifice, the last bit of Cursed Energy left Maki's body, allowing her to fully realize her Heavenly Restriction which made her as powerful as Toji. With this newfound power, Maki went on one of the most insane and cathartic killing sprees in manga history, where she managed to completely destroy the Zenin clan and all instances of her troubled past with them.

Sukuna Takes On The Might Of Both Maki And Yuji

The King of Curses Takes Over Megumi

  • Sukuna finally reveals his long-term plan.

One of the most shocking moments in the entire Culling Game arc came when Sukuna finally revealed why he had been so interested in Megumi since the beginning, which was so he could take over his body. The absolute horror that Yuji faced led to one of the most emotionally charged fights in the entire series.

Although Sukuna was far from his full strength, his power was still greater than that of Yuji, which is why Maki eventually joined the fight as well, catching the King of Curses off guard due to her lack of Cursed Energy in the process. This battle took the three of them across various locations in Tokyo, eventually ending with Sukuna's victory and departure, leaving Yuji broken and bloodied.

Kenjaku Vs. Yuki And Choso Showed The Unrivaled Power Of Special Grades

A Battle of Powerhouses

  • Kenjaku fights Yuki and Choso.

In the middle of the arc, Kenjaku's ultimate plan was revealed, where he planned to optimize Cursed Energy by getting sorcerers to kill each other in order to release enough of it to form an all-powerful Cursed Spirit. To do this, he needed Master Tengen, who was being protected by Yuki and Choso.

When the villain fought the heroes, it ended up being one of the best fights in all of Jujutsu Kaisen, with Kenjaku and Yuki showing exactly why they are some of the series' strongest characters who have perfected their respective Cursed Techniques and fighting styles. This fight had major shining moments for all the characters involved, eventually ending in a bittersweet and emotional send-off for one of the series' most beloved characters.

The Sendai Colony Three-Way Battle Was A Sight To Behold

A Battle Between Legends

  • Will surely be one of the highlights of season 3.

During the Culling Game, a location in Tokyo known as the Sendai Colony was under a deadlock between three incredibly powerful reincarnated sorcerers. This deadlock was to be broken by Yuta, so he made his way there in order to fight against Ryu and Uro; incredibly deadly reincarnated sorcerers with some of the most broken Cursed Techniques in the series.

This fight was genuinely a treat to read through and is easily going to be one of the highlights of season 3. These three sorcerers used their all in this battle, showing an incredible and in-depth knowledge of Cursed Energy reserved only for the strongest in the series. Towards the end of the fight, one of the most iconic moments of the entire arc took place with Yuta, Ryu, and Uro all opening their Domains simultaneously.

Hakari's Fight Against Kashimo May Just Be The Best In The Series

The Restless Gambler vs. The Lightning God

  • The most fun fight in the arc.

Whenever someone speaks about the Culling Game arc, the incredible fight between Kashimo and Hakari is almost always part of that conversation. Of course, these two characters aren't the strongest in the setting, nor is this fight super destructive or world-changing, but the real reason why it's so loved is because of how creative and unique it is.

Due to Hakari's insanely unique and hilarious Cursed Technique, he is able to keep up with someone who was known as the strongest of his era, and the way he does this is sure to be the best part of season 3. With these two titans fighting at their fullest within Hakari's repeated Domain Expansions, this battle is sure to have fans at the edge of their seats the entire time, cheering in anticipation for what happens next.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
