Oftentimes, the most popular anime series feature overlapping voice actors, making it very possible that two fan-favorite characters from two different series actually share the same voice actor. Jujutsu Kaisen is no exception to this and features a star-studded cast of talented voice actors fans may have heard in other series. Toji Fushiguro has been one of the most highly anticipated characters to see fully animated among the fandom with a lot of talk surrounding which actor will be chosen to portray the infamous Sorcerer Killer.
For any Jujutsu Kaisen fans of either the Japanese or English dub who are wondering if they have heard the elusive and handsome Toji Fushiguro's voice floating around in other series, here are some of the most popular animes that Japanese voice actor, Takehito Koyasu, and English voice actor, Nicolas Roye, have been featured in.
8 English VA: Tokyo Revengers - Kisaki Tetta
While Roye voices JJK's Toji, he also voices yet another infamous antagonist in the Tokyo Revengers English dub. Kisaki is the main antagonist in the series and always seems to be a step and a half ahead of crybaby protagonist, Takemichi.
Kisaki is cold and calculated and is only ever seen smiling when he's finally won and manipulated everyone around him to get his way. Toji and Kisaki aren't too different; they both are determined antagonists who won't hesitate to kill in order to achieve their goals. Because of their similarities in personality and methods, Roye's work in Tokyo Revengers is rather easy to pick out as JJK's fellow assassin, Toji.
7 Japanese VA: Ouran High School Host Club - Ryoji "Ranka" Fujioka
Ouran High School Host Club's protagonist, Haruhi, often visits her loving (sometimes overly protective) father, Ryoji (also known by his stage name Ranka) for advice or just to check in. Just like Ranka's appearance, his voice ranges from a light, feminine melody to a deep, commanding tone (usually when he's angry).
Every so often, the famous cross-dressing Ouran dad lets out his more intimidating side, sounding almost exactly like tough-guy Toji. Toji could only wish to be as good of a father as the famous Ryoji Ranka Fujioka.
6 English VA: Sailor Moon R/Crystal - Shingo Tsukino
The prolific Sailor Moon series has spawned many spin-offs and films that expand on the overall Sailor Guardian universe. Among the plethora of Sailor Moon spin-offs are Sailor Moon R and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: Crystal animated series. Surprisingly enough, Toji's voice actor takes the role of young Shingo Tsukino in the English dub of both series.
Shingo is protagonist Usagi's rebellious younger brother and is often known to pick on Usagi, despite being the younger sibling. As expected, Roye's voice when playing Shingo is much higher and sounds almost unrecognizable as JJK's bloodthirsty Toji Fushiguro.
5 Japanese VA: One Piece - Admiral Aokiji (Kuzan)
Admiral Aokiji served as an antagonist for a handful of One Piece's arcs as a Marine Admiral before eventually joining Blackbeard's Crew. Despite his immense power and authority, he has a very laid-back attitude and overall lazy personality.
When voicing One Piece's Kuzan, Koyasu keeps a similar tone to Toji in his voice but adds a touch of calm and levelheadedness to Kuzan's portrayal. While to two do sound very similar and are easy to pin as sharing the same voice actor, Kuzan's lazy cadence is what sets him apart from the stern Toji Fushiguro.
4 English VA: Twin Star Exorcists - Tooru Fushihara
Twin Star Exorcists is all about the world of banishing and exorcizing evil spirits and follows protagonists Rokuro Enmado and Benio Adashino. During their journey together, they meet fellow exorcist Tooru Fushihara who operates in Magano.
Fushihara is an exorcist of Mainland at Ayame City Branch and also cares for children at a daycare when he is not busy with his other duties. While it may be a surprise to some, Toji's English voice actor Roye also plays Twin Star Exorcists' Tooru Fushihara.
3 Japanese VA: Moomin - Snufkin
It may be a surprise to many, but the beloved vagabond that occasionally visits Moomin and his friends in Moominvalley is actually voiced by Koyasu. The soft-spoken Snufkin in the Moomin Japanese dub (the series originally from Finland) may seem much too calm (and kind) to share the same voice as the ruthless Toji Fushiguro.
However, when listening closely, die-hard fans of JJK may be able to pick out the similar tone Moomin's Snufkin has to Toji as the wise little Snufkin sounds just like Toji if he were ten times more calm and a hundred times more kind.
2 English VA: Bungo Stray Dogs - Chuuya Nakahara
Bungo Stray Dogs' Chuuya Nakahara is a member of the Port Mafia and is known for his arrogant, flashy attitude. Despite being Dazai's former partner in Twin Dark, he and Dazai are constantly seen bickering and picking on one another.
Chuuya is haughty, and always interested in showing off his combat skills. When voicing the short-tempered Chuuya in Bungo Stray Dogs, Roye uses a higher-pitched, energetic voice; contrary to the overly-serious and tough Toji, making the two sound entirely different.
1 Japanese VA: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Dio Brando
Dio Brando is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's main antagonist throughout the series and takes the form of a powerful, immortal vampire and Stand User. Dio is a famous villain not just in the JJBA world, but in the world of all anime, and is known for being incredibly ruthless, bloodthirsty (no pun intended), and power-hungry.
As both Toji and Dio are merciless killers in their respective series, Koyasu's voice is recognizable in an instant. The low, intimidating cadence of their speech and the commanding nature of their words make the pair easy to pick out as characters that share the talented Takehito Koyasu's unique voice.
(Bonus) English VA: Jujutsu Kaisen - Junpei Yoshino
Although Junpei's arc was a little while back (all the way in season one), fans may recognize Toji's voice coming from a much more sympathetic character. Before Roye went on to voice Toji in season two of JJK, he first appeared in season one as yet another fan favorite, Junpei Yoshino.
Hopefully, if Roye gets another gig in the JJK series in the future, he'll have a longer stay as a regular.
