This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most exciting battle Shonen series of the last few years. The original Jujutsu Kaisen manga was an incredible ride, especially the final arc, where Sukuna took on every sorcerer in an enthralling raid, led by Yuji Itadori.

Now, in the sequel series, the plot is just as exciting, thanks to the introduction of characters like Dabura Karaba. 68 years into the future, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has seen to it that new powerful sorcerers rise to replace the old ones. Naturally, fans' attention quickly turned to Yuji Itadori in the new sequel, especially after it was established that he effectively doesn't age anymore.

More than that, Yuji Itadori has gained new abilities in JJK Modulo, the newest of which was revealed to the fans in the latest chapter of the manga. Yuji Itadori has officially reached new heights of power, and his skill with Blood Manipulation is now on a whole different level.

  • Yuji unlocked many new powers during the Sukuna battle
  • Yuji tapped into the power of Blood Manipulation, Shrine, and Black Flashes

Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. Over the course of the original manga, it was quite clear to see that Yuji grew tremendously in terms of overall power.

At the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji Itadori was rather underwhelming, but he still had some interesting abilities, such as his superhuman strength. When compared to other sorcerers, such as Gojo Satoru, or even some of his peers, such as Yuta Okkotsu, he was not all that special.

"Man, I told 'em this would happen! Not that I actually said it outloud, but still... Piercing Blood." —Yuji Itadori in JJK Modulo Chapter 19

Nevertheless, Yuji's true potential would only come out at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen. In the battle against Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, Yuji Itadori made a big difference as he went on to unlock his true powers. Being Sukuna's perfect vessel, Yuji unlocked many abilities, such as Sukuna's own cursed technique, Shrine. Yuji could effectively use Dismantle and even combine it with Black Flashes. He also developed a powerful Domain Expansion, inside which he ended the battle against Sukuna. With all these power-ups, Yuji and the others were finally able to defeat Sukuna.

  • Yuji Itadori has mastered Blood Manipulation
  • Yuji has evolved the usage of Blood Manipulation to rival Limitless and Ten Shadows

At the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji was already one of the strongest sorcerers around. But, since then, he has only grown stronger. While the vast majority of the sorcerers in Japan outgrew their primes, Yuji Itadori’s case was different. Instead, Yuji seems to have become immortal and since he reached his peak, he has not aged. In other words, even 68 years later, Yuji is still at his best.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has also showcased Yuji Itadori's newest and biggest power-up, and that is evolved Blood Manipulation. Yuji has had Blood Manipulation for a long time, as it was engraved into him after the consumption of the Death Paintings 4-9. But, in Modulo, Yuji Itadori showcased that he is by far the greatest user of Blood Manipulation ever.

When Yuji made his return in Modulo chapter 19, he immediately tapped into his Piercing Blood ability, and with it, Yuji was able to take down a building filled with sorcerers and Simurians. This kind of feat has never been seen before with Blood Manipulation. First and foremost, Piercing Blood requires the usage of Convergence, which Yuji couldn't do in the original Jujutsu Kaisen. Choso had to make it for him. Now, Yuji can use it with ease.

On top of that, Yuji can create a much bigger blob of blood, as well as create and control tens of arrows with ease. The fact is that Yuji subdued a whole building of high-level sorcerers with ease, while holding back, with his new Blood Manipulation power up.

The level of control over this Cursed Technique that Yuji has displayed is a feat comparable to the likes of Gojo and Sukuna.

This leads one to wonder how strong his Blood Manipulation truly is. Logically, Yuji should also be able to infuse his CT into his domain and create a Blood Manipulation Domain Expansion. It must be remembered that Blood Manipulation is a treasure of the Kamo Clan that should be worthy of standing alongside Ten Shadows and Limitless. Yuji will show its true worth to the fans now.

Yuji Might Be The Strongest Sorcerer of All Time

  • Yuji might have already surpassed Gojo and Sukuna

Undoubtedly at the moment, Yuji Itadori is humanity's strongest sorcerer. Before Yuji's return, humanity’s biggest hope was Yuka Okkotsu, Yuta and Maki's granddaughter, who had inherited the Ten Shadow technique and Yuta's huge cursed energy reserve.

Yuka was definitely strong, but her tumor and lack of experience definitely put her at a disadvantage. The most she could do in this battle was take on a Binding Vow and unleash the Divine General Mahoraga, which she hasn’t tamed either.

Yuji, on the other hand, is in his prime and has over half a century of experience. It could be said that Yuji might have even surpassed the likes of Gojo Satoru and Sukuna, especially as he has two fully mastered cursed techniques and an unaging body.

Yuji’s Final Challenge In Jujutsu Kaisen Will Be Dabura

  • Dabura vs Yuji will be a battle on a scale of Gojo vs Sukuna

Given his latest power-up and feat, Yuji could've surpassed Gojo and Sukuna sometime after the Sukuna Raid. Now, he is set to fight against an enemy bound to surpass humanity's two previous strongest, and that is, of course, Dabura, the King of the Simurians. Given his two cursed techniques of Light and Murderous Intent, Dabura is clearly a monstrously powerful individual, and with Mahoraga going down soon, someone has to step up to protect not only Yuka, but all of Japan. No one other than Yuji can achieve that. In the upcoming battle against Dabura, Yuji will be able to showcase his true growth, and fans will be able to truly grasp how much Yuji has developed over the last 68 years, especially in terms of Blood Manipulation, which was criminally underrated in the original Jujutsu Kaisen story.

"I want to fight more. I want to fight better. I want to be reborn... Into a version of myself I don't even know." — Dabura in JJK Modulo chapter 19

Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series is set 68 years into the future, after the events of Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 19 will be released on January 25, 2026. The release time of the chapter is midnight JST, or 11:00 AM ET (8:00 AM PT). Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app.
