Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen know very well that the sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is growing more exciting with each passing week. Although the series has only just started, the premise for it is incredibly exciting already, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what Gege Akutami does with it. The era has changed, as 68 years have passed since the chaotic Shinjuku Showdown took place. It was in this arc that Gege Akutami showed the fans the two strongest colliding.

The strongest Modern Sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, officially went up against the strongest in history, Ryomen Sukuna. The battle they fought was absolutely astonishing, but it ended with the death of Gojo Satoru, the strongest of the modern era. While fans have said goodbye to Gojo, the Jujutsu Society hasn't stagnated, and there's a new Strongest contender in town already.

Jujutsu Kaisen gave the fans what can be considered to be one of the greatest arcs in modern shonen with Shinjuku Showdown. While all the battles in this arc were absolutely stunning, the one that fans loved the most was the clash between Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna. This battle saw two sorcerers of equal caliber go up against each other and show the fans what true Jujutsu looked like. Gojo, with his Six Eyes and Limitless, went up against Sukuna's Shrine, combined with the power of the Ten Shadows Technique.

Thanks to the immense advantage that Sukuna held with the Ten Shadows Technique, he eventually took the upper hand, especially since the plot had to aid him as well. In the end, Gojo Satoru fell in battle, and he absolutely had to in order for the plot to progress. With a heavy heart, fans had to say goodbye to Gojo Satoru. For over a year, fans waited for Gojo's resurrection, but it didn't happen. At this point, it is clear that Gojo Satoru won't return to the story.

Gojo Satoru's death doesn't mean the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, however. There is a new strongest that rose after Gojo, and that's Yuji Itadori. Along with Yuki Itadori was Yuta Okkotsu. Gojo's very own students went on to reach great heights in terms of power and were spoken of in the same breath as him. Together, the two were the strongest in Japan after the Shinjuku Showdown. Now, however, they're old as well, and a new era is upon Japan.

Yuka And Tsurugi Okkotsu Will Be The Next Strongest

Yuta Okkotsu And Yuji Itadori Were The Strongest After Gojo

Right now, 68 years have passed since Shinjuku Showdown, and that means a new age of sorcerers has stepped up. With Yuta Okkotsu dying, along with Maki Zenin, fans know very well that someone has to step up, and it seems the answer is clear.

Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki, will be the next strongest. This is because both of them aspire to reach high levels. Yuka Okkotsu specifically wants to be as strong as Yuta Okkotsu, and fans already know that Yuta was the strongest, or at least a contender for the position of the strongest, after the death of Gojo Satoru and the fall of Ryomen Sukuna.

This means Yuka will inevitably reach this power level in JJK Modulo. But, more than that, fans also know that Yuka and Tsurugi are equal, which means that if this equation is maintained, he too will be the strongest at the end of JJK Modulo.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 3 will be released on September 21, 2025.
