This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is back among the best-performing manga, thanks to its return with a sequel series, Modulo. Fans have been absolutely loving JJK Modulo so far, and with time, it is bound to get even better. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is just getting started, but Gege has already revealed some fascinating bits and pieces of information to the fans about it. Much to the delight of fans, Gege has also provided some information about the old characters from the world, including Maki Zenin and Yuta Okkotsu.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Sukuna Was The Biggest Villain, But Gege Has Officially Replaced Him
Gege has replaced Sukuna with a bigger and stronger villain in JJK.
Of course, fans also want to know more about the protagonist of the previous series, Yuji Itadori. While Yuji hasn't appeared in the manga right now, fans know very well that he cannot be forgotten. Gege Akutami referenced Yuji right at the beginning of the sequel series, and in doing so, he's also confirmed his power level as an adult to all the fans. Finally, fans now know that Yuji Itadori reached incredibly high levels of power as an adult, and that he continued to grow stronger.
Adult Yuji Itadori Was On The Same Level As Gojo Satoru
Japan Remembers Him As A Mighty Fighter
- He defeated the King of Curses
- Yuji has potential equal to Sukuna
So far in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, fans haven't seen the likes of Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, or Nobara at all. Given that 68 years have passed since the end of the series, it is unclear if all, or any, of them are still alive. But, chances are that they're doing well still. And, in that case, fans are fully expecting them to show up sooner rather than later. That aside, Gege Akutami can't simply forget his original main character.
That's right Sukuna. I can kill you. It's still not too late for you. — Yuji Itadori to Ryomen Sukuna in Shinjuku Showdown
Say Hello To Jujutsu Kaisen's New Gojo Satoru
Gojo died in JJK, but Gege just created a new Gojo in Modulo.
Yuji Itadori was referenced right in the very first chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. It was confirmed to the fans officially that Yuji Itadori is considered to be one of Japan's Strongest Sorcerers of all time. This is because Yuji played a significant role in the defeat of Ryomen Sukuna, being the one to carry the fight after Gojo lost, and more than that, growing into his potential more following the end of the war.
It can safely be said that Yuji Itadori went on to fulfil his potential by the time he became an adult. For those who don't remember, Uraume stated quite clearly that Yuji Itadori had potential equal to Ryomen Sukuna. This means that if he went on to master all of his powers, he would eventually reach the same level as Sukuna, and that's certainly believable.
Wait, does that mean this brat has the same potential as Master Sukuna? — Uraume on Yuji Itadori
Yuji Was Likely The Strongest Sorcerer Of His Time
His Current Whereabouts Are Unknown
Yuji Itadori was a mighty sorcerer, and by the time he fulfilled his potential, it goes without saying that he would've been Japan's Strongest Sorcerer. Of course, Yuta Okkotsu is there as well, but it is quite clear that Yuji would've been stronger. After all, Yuji has the same potential as Sukuna, and on top of that, he also has blood manipulation to add to it.
If Yuji Itadori is alive right now, fans can only hope that he shows up in the story, as that would make things all the more exciting. The threat Japan faces right now, that is, the Simurians, is incredibly powerful and there's absolutely no way the likes of Yuka and Tsurugi are strong enough to defeat everyone on their own. Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, if they're alive, must absolutely step up and help out.
