This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
Gege Akutami’s JJK sequel manga, Modulo, is four chapters in right now and it's already proven to be an absolutely incredible story for the fans to indulge in. The manga is set 68 years after the end of the Shinjuku Showdown which saw the death of Gojo Satoru at the hands of Ryomen Sukuna, and eventually, the fall of the latter thanks to Yuji Itadori and the other next generation of sorcerers.
Jujutsu Kaisen Gets An Exciting Update About The Sequel Series 'Modulo'
Modulo is JJK's newest sequel, and an exciting reveal might have been uncovered.
With a shift of eras, the world of sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen has changed greatly, and fans are very well aware of that. Japan might not be as strong as it once was, especially since all the strong sorcerers are either dead or very old. That said, some of them are likely still around, and while they're not in their primes anymore, they're powerful still. Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the original JJK series, is one such character, and fans are fairly certain that they'll go on to see him eventually in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo as the story continues.
Yuji Itadori's Return At Some Point Is Inevitable In JJK Modulo
Yuji Was Japan's Strongest After Shinjuku Showdown
- Yuji Itadori might still be alive
- He was connected to Ryomen Sukuna
So far, Gege Akutami has kept most of the top-level sorcerers in JJK Modulo a secret. What fans know is that Usami, who is a Grade 1 Sorcerer from Gojo's era, is still alive, and he's actually quite young still. Usami is important in Japan's Sorcerer hierarchy, and that in itself goes to show that there is a solid chance for many other sorcerers of the old generation to still be alive.

Say Hello To Jujutsu Kaisen's New Gojo Satoru
Gojo died in JJK, but Gege just created a new Gojo in Modulo.
In the first chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, fans saw Yuji Itadori being directly mentioned. It was stated that Yuji Itadori was one of the strongest in Japan alongside Gojo. With Gojo having died in Shinjuku, Yuji was likely the strongest that Japan had during the timeskip. However, it was also stated quite clearly that sorcerers as a whole have grown weaker. This, at the very least, implies that Yuji isn't an active sorcerer anymore. Yuji Itadori has most certainly retired, but it is highly unlikely that he's dead. If he were, Gege would've confirmed his death already. Given that Gege Akutami hasn't killed off Yuki Itadori, it is a given that he will show up in the story at some point later down the line, especially if a war with the King of Simurians does indeed break out. In this war, someone like Yuji would be absolutely needed.

Yuji Itadori Will Show Up, Either Alive Or In A Flashback
He's Too Important To Not Be Mentioned
Regardless, fans haven't seen the last of Yuji Itadori in JJK Modulo. While he has already made 1 small appearance in the first chapter, there is more of Yuji Itadori that fans will see. Most likely, Yuji Itadori will show up in the story alive and well, only old, and will likely aid Yuka and Tsurugi, especially given that he knew Yuta Okkotsu very well. This would give Gege Akutami an exciting opportunity to fill the fans in on what happened after the conclusion of the Sukuna fight, and how strong each Sorcerer was.
Even if Gege does go down the death route for Yuji Itadori, which is unlikely, fans will most likely see Yuji Itadori in a flashback, and Gege will make sure to elaborate upon the circumstances of his death, just as he did for Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin. Either way, the return of Yuji Itadori in Modulo is just a matter of time.
