Jujutsu Kaisen ended officially in 2024, but the popularity of the series is such that even today, fans are heavily invested in it, waiting for Gege Akutami, the author of the series, to drop exciting bits of information every now and then. Jujutsu Kaisen ended on quite a surprising note, shortly after the protagonist of the series, Yuji Itadori, managed to defeat the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna.

Fans know very well that Sukuna was immensely powerful, but Yuji still managed to take him down, and this was largely down to his usage of two powerful cursed techniques. In the Shinjuku Showdown Arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami officially revealed two cursed techniques of Yuji, one of which is incredibly special. The first is Blood Manipulation, and the second is the Shrine technique, which he inherited from Sukuna.

Yuji Itadori is a very special sorcerer, not just because he's the protagonist of the series, but also because he possesses not one but two cursed techniques. When Jujutsu Kaisen first began, Yuji didn't even have a single cursed technique, which may be shocking to some fans. Yuji only had access to Divergent Fist, which was just a clever way of using his cursed energy. As far as an innate technique goes, Yuji had none. But, this all changed in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, where Yuji revealed two big powers.

It was revealed by Gege to the fans that before Shinjuku Showdown even began, Yuji Itadori ended up consuming Death Painting Wombs 4-9, and this meant that he gained access to the power of Blood Manipulation. With Blood Manipulation, Yuji Itadori can manipulate his own blood and primarily aid his healing, but more than that, he can also use it in combat for techniques such as Piercing Blood. With these powers, Yuji was able to surprise Sukuna and, more importantly, last long in battle.

His second cursed technique is the most special of all, called Shrine. Yuji awakened the power of the Shrine cursed technique towards the end of Jujutsu Kaisen. He inherited this technique directly from Ryomen Sukuna, simply because the two shared a body. As Gojo said, Sukuna's technique would go on to engrave itself in Yuji's body and eventually awaken. With Shrine, Yuji was able to slice and dice his enemies with powerful slashes of Cleave and Dismantle, but only with physical contact.

Yuji Itadori Can Become The Strongest Sorcerer In The World

Yuji's awakening of two cursed techniques in the last stretch of Jujutsu Kaisen is huge for the overall plot of the series. It means that Yuji Itadori is on the path to becoming the strongest sorcerer in the entire series. Gojo Satoru is officially dead, but that doesn't mean the Jujutsu society won't have someone to rely on. Yuji, with his two cursed techniques, can definitely get on his level.

More than anything, Yuji Itadori will definitely reach Sukuna's level. This is because Gege Akutami explicitly stated in the story that he has the same potential as Ryomen Sukuna, which means that once he masters his powers fully, Yuji will be as strong as the King of Curses.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 2 will be released on September 14, 2025.
