Jujutsu Kaisen Movie: Hidden Inventory will be released in Japanese theaters on May 30, 2025. As previously stated, the film will cover the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, which focuses on Gojo Satoru's past before he became the strongest sorcerer in the world. The Hidden Inventory arc has already been adapted in the second season of the anime, so fans know what will happen in the film. However, many scenes will be reworked for the film, so the quality of the animation will be even higher. It is excellent news for animation enthusiasts because all the fights in the film will be better than in the regular anime season.

There is no doubt the film is going to be a hit, but fans can't stop thinking about the third season of the anime. MAPPA announced Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 immediately after the conclusion of the second season, but the updates have been limited. At Jump Festa 2025, the studio only released a new visual featuring Itadori Yuji. There was no news about the release date, leaving many fans confused about why the studio announced a film.

It is likely that MAPPA wanted to capitalize on the series' popularity and stop it from losing any momentum. In the past, many anime companies suffered from not releasing new projects for several years. So, MAPPA made the right decision by releasing a compilation film.
