The protagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are none other than the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki, namely Yuka Okkotsu and Tsurugi Okkotsu. Both of these characters are incredibly different in how they fight. While Yuka is more reliant on the power of cursed energy, Tsurugi Okkotsu has inherited the same power as Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin, and that means he has very little cursed energy.

Fans know very well that in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, there exist some very powerful sorcerers who fight in different ways, but mostly using cursed energy. However, among them are some very special cases, such as Toji Fushiguro. Toji was born with no cursed energy, and this is what made him special. Instead, his physical body was boosted to sky-high levels and he could do the impossible, such as nearly killing even Gojo Satoru. Toji was an absolute monster who could dismantle even a Special Grade curse, such was his physical prowess.

Eventually, Maki Zenin also went to achieve this power. Unlike Toji Fushiguro, Maki was born with little cursed energy. Her Heavenly Restriction was only fully unlocked after Mai died. Maki went on to destroy the Zenin Clan and burn it to the ground. By the Culling Game, she had already equalled Toji Fushiguro, and as fans know, she then continued to get stronger.

Now, the powers of Maki Zenin and Toji Fushiguro have been inherited by Tsurugi Okkotsu, Maki's grandson. Just like Maki, Tsurugi was born with little cursed energy. It seems that he still has faint amounts of it, which means his Heavenly Restriction hasn't fully taken effect, as was the case with Maki Zenin until the death of Mai.

Tsurugi Okkotsu’s Power Level

Tsugiri Is Still Weak Overall

It goes without saying that Tsugiri Okkotsu is impressive. He is skilled at the usage of the New Shadow Style, and on top of that, his physical proficiency is extremely high. He can see things others can't, and feel things that would be impossible for others to perceive. But, Tsurugi hasn't hit his full potential just yet. It will take some time for him to get stronger. At the very least, fans know that he has equal skill when compared to Yuka, who inherited Yuta Okkotsu’s absolutely massive cursed energy pool.

By the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, fans only hope that the series goes on to show the fans a stronger version of Tsurugi Okkotsu, perhaps after all the crushed energy traces in his body have been removed.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine.
