Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Officially Reveals A New Villain As Strong As Ryomen Sukuna

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has only just begun serialization and fans are incredibly excited to see powerful figures appear. In the very first chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, a new threat was officially revealed to the fans, 68 years after the chaos caused by the strongest sorcerer in history, Ryomen Sukuna.

As fans know, Sukuna was an absolute monster and incredibly difficult to take down in battle. Even Gojo Satoru, the strongest Sorcerer of the era, wasn't able to defeat Sukuna for good. Now, the world of Jujutsu Kaisen is getting yet another powerful villain, and this one is also strong enough to be considered a Sukuna-level threat. Gege Akutami explicitly stated that the Simurian Invasion of Earth is a threat comparable to Sukuna, and it could be even bigger.

When Gege Akutami started his new manga, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, fans knew immediately that he would have to introduce a powerful villain for the story to be interesting. After all, without a strong villain, the series would feel incomplete. Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo is a follow-up on the main story, and is set 68 years into the future.

In order for the story to still be exciting, introducing a level of threat comparable to JJK's strongest, such as Sukuna, was very important. It must also be remembered that Gege's style has always been to introduce the mighty villains right at the beginning of the story. Sukuna was first revealed to the fans shortly after the debut of the manga, and similarly, the main villain of the JJK Modulo series has now shown up as well. Needless to say, this new JJK villain is as strong as Ryomen Sukuna, if not even stronger.

In the very first page, Gege himself writes that Japan considers the invasion of the Simurians a threat on the same level as Ryomen Sukuna. This means they possess tremendous power, and what's more, fans don't exactly know how strong they truly are, meaning they could actually be even stronger than Sukuna.

The King Of Simurians Is A Monster In Combat

He Is Likely JJK Modulo's Main Villain

The Simurians of the JJK world seem to be very special, in that they all have powers to use cursed energy. They also have 3 eyes instead of just two and they possess special abilities. It seems the whole race is aware of Cursed Energy, and more than that, they are incredibly proficient in its usage.

The two stronger members of the Simurian race are Maru’s elder brother, and the person who seems to be their King. Given that a King exists, it is highly likely that he will be the strongest of them all. It is only a matter of time before Gege Akutami reveals his true powers, and if this series truly wants to step up in terms of stakes and intensity, then Gege Akutami should officially introduce an enemy even stronger than Sukuna, and fans would love it as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine.
